Hold on, you're getting a NEW car for college? Are you serious? My parents bought me a beater for college, because its college. But since you want some ideas for a car under 20K. I would say maybe a wrx? You can definately go out and get an is300 or an Audi TT. But I'd look for an EVO. screw gas mileage man. You want gas mileage get a Yaris or a civic.

Dude, get a scion tc. They might not be as fast as a wrx or an is, but they're not expensive. And you can part it to hell with TRD stuff w/o voiding the warranty. Do it.

Not to mention it would then easily blow the doors off of a ****balt SS.. err cobalt that is. My parents never bought me a car outright.. my mom has helped me with money towards a car.. but not just like outright said here's thousands of dollars have fun! lol Anyway, the Scion TC ain't bad.. friend has one it's pretty quick and it's insanely good on gas... isn't a "sports" car .. turbo'd or anything so insurance should be pretty cheap.. specially since you are doing a cash deal it seems and won't have to worry about having super maximum insurance bc of a bank loan. They do make a TRD supercharger for those right? I heard that at like 8PSI those damn things have 300hp. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. Future engine swap... possibly a 2jzge.

But if you can afford it, I'd take it into consideration. Or, just put the money into the Celica! good gas milage + fast is not likely for 20k. -------------------- |

the TRD supercharger will bring you to 200 hp at 7 psi.
whether or not 300 is achievable, i don't know, but it will take more tweaking than you initially think, and youll probably have to void your warranty anyways if you want serious power. -------------------- |

I've been in 2 accidents.. none of which were my fault. I'm 22 and paid like 80/month for liability when i had the 94 GT. I have Nationwide and I'm in their best tier. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer.
