hey guys/gals, things have been rough for me thru the new years and gettin a dui isnt the best way to start a new year....*sigh*
I was trying to make a turn at a tight-spaced intersection and teh car understeered over teh curb causing my pass. side front wheel smashed to bits...brakes are gone, wheels are bent inward, fenders are damaged and so are the bumper (c one) but the bumper is a easy job to fix, teh fenders might need changing. i havent started up teh car yet cuz its still at the tow company. from look of things the axles are gone, teh mechanic there said i might need new A-Arm for the pass. side whatever that means......teh towing company wont let me take a look at the motor which is really hard to say anything......other than that, i hope eveyrthing is ok....PICS will be posted up soon when i pick the car up.... wells, my cars up for sale....$2500 OBO~...mods are in my profile and on top of sellin my car i have plenty of goodies that will be included with the sale of the car. jus had a new paintjob, new wheels n tires, projectors, cf hood/hatch, tons of interior mods (LEDs)......many more to list http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=37822 .....and NO I AM NOT GOING TO PART IT OUT!... OFF TOPIC - i have a court date, i was thinking of not hiring a lawyer but my friend's dad said if i jus go in there n plead guilty, they're gonna OWN my a55, which means paying teh maximum fine which will be $10,000...i sthat true?....ive had 3 charges upon me: 1.DUI 2. Driving on rim 3. Careless driving so my next step is to go to a public defender and ask for their help, i know they're not free but hey it beats paying $2100...does your friend has a temp license? any extension on that licnese? i had a free phone consultation with a lawyer and he said as long as i have teh ticket where they wrote me the dui, i have 10 days to drive my car and i have to hurry up to apply for a temp license before the 10-day period, which allows me to drive an extra 40-45 days, after that its all on the courts ruling......from your experience, any ideas what my next step should be?..... -------------------- |

2500 is really not that bad for the car im going to see what i can do about geting te money but i will keep you up dated on that.
as for the charges my friend only got one charge and that was for blowing a 0.529 and that is pretty high they said all he got was a public defenderand and got 12 months supervision and has to pay some fines plus alittle commuity servise but thats about it. and to get the free phone call i did that when i got in trouble for my driveing on a sup. and they told me that i was going to have 5 years in prison and all i got was 18 supervision and if i dont get in to trouble then i can get early term. so i would worry so much but you are going to spend a little money. and your temp. linc. is very hard to get my friend hasnt drove sence he got his dui and that was 3 months ago but they only take your **** for 6 months This post has been edited by twolownissan2002: Jan 9, 2008 - 7:52 AM -------------------- |

Off-topic too... IDK how it is in FL but in OR if you're a 1st time offender, you'll get a suspension and a fat fine depending on what your BAC was. If you're looking at jail time, you may be able to take classes on driving safety (at your expense, and I hear they are very expensive) in lieu of jail time.
For the record, my father was killed by a drunk driver in Homestead when I was 3 mos. old. Think twice next time... if you wanna screw with your own life, that's your business, but when you do sh*t like that it's not only your life you're f*ing around with. -------------------- |

You want $2500 for a nearly wrecked '95 GT auto with 141k miles??? I hope you're joking.
I paid $3000 for my LEXUS GS300 in good condition, and my friend Chrys recently bought himself a '92 LEXUS LS400 that needs less work than your Celica for $1200. The last 6th gen I bought was a '95 ST Auto with some miles on it, in good running condition, needed a little minor bodywork, and I paid $600. Good luck with that. *edit* After looking at the pics more closely, I elect to change "nearly wrecked" to simply "wrecked". Where you trying to outrun the cops or something? -Doc This post has been edited by Dr_Tweak: Jan 11, 2008 - 8:21 PM -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

I'm not a lawyer, but maybe try plea bargaining....plead guilty to the 2 lesser charges in exchange for them dropping the DUI. |

i don't think he is asking too much at all. think about it.
your are getting like new projectors and clear highs $800 like new zyclone cf hood $400-500 like new cf hatch $500-600 freshly painted ssIII rear splitters $175-200 freshly painted oem sideskirts $200 3 like new rims and 3 (possibly 4) like new tires $400+ you could possibly save the teins $150 jdm tails $200 zyclone bumper fresh paint $200 exhaust system $200 plus all the other parts he has available. i think 2500 is very reasonable if i were you i would part it out myself or better yet buy another 6gc and swap the stuff over then part. then you could have a manual 6gc if i were local i would jump on this.
