Maybe take the 50G's, move to Japan, buy a Skyline, and partake in Initial D - styled races along mountain sides to earn money, respect, and women. Honestly, your dreams are a little high, but thats just me... Go to school. Get a job. If you can only afford to go to a community college for your Associates and then transfer to a 4 year for your Bachelors. Get a job to help out with expences. Maybe one day you will be sucessful and move to Japan and buy a Skyline and all that crap. It's kind of sad that your dreams in life is nothing more than to have this "image" of cool. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

QUOTE(mrgrape @ Jan 13, 2008 - 11:06 AM) P.S i dont really feel the need to be successful in life. [i][u] you're the smartest of all of us, we chose to chase a successful life, trying to make ourselves proud, our parents proud, and for those who have kids, be a good example for them and be able to provide them with what they need, but you use other people mistakes to justify your lack of interest for your life. very clever ! I really hope you realize how hard is to live with no real goal, everyone does stuff that we later realized were wrong when we're young, but I don't know too many people who does this consciously, you're planning for to be unsuccessful and I hope you fail at that. Go to a community college, earn an associate get a job and go pay for the rest of your schooling. not everyone goes to a great university with all expenses covered, I don't see you able to handle a military life at least not from what you wrote, unless you don't mind being always at the bottom which means no skyline for you. Good luck with your decision and remember life is not to be taken for granted, you only get one, unless you believe on the afterlife. go to a cc. at el co its only like 20 bucks a unit so others should be about the same. you only need 12 units to be a full time student so you'll still have time to work. just manage your time with school, work, studying, and social life. in 2 years, transfer with the money you save from work. if you need help with money, apply for financial aid. its free money for school, not a loan. you just have to be a full time student and maintain like a 2.5+ gpa.

Join the military. If you want to be in Japan, the Marines is probably your best bet, you can hope to be stationed in Okinawa. From what you've said, you clearly lack a complete sense of autonomy, direction, discipline and purpose in your life, and you don't strike me as the type who will take the initiative to find it for yourself. The military is a great opportunity for people like yourself to learn a trade, have a sense of accomplishment and perhaps gain some discipline and direction in your life. And when you're done with your enlistment, if you so choose not to reenlist, you can always score a GI bill and go to school to boot.

Honestly it sounds like the typical "rich ass never had to think about my future" kid. Hell his dad had a hooker at 10G a month and he still has 50G left for school! You could also get a job and work your way up. Lot of companys now a days would rather train a person themselves then higher a kid fresh out of school. I went to a CC for half a semester and realized that i hated school and didnt want to go, cost me $800 to figure that one out. so i got in with this Sprint and started working Tech Support for in one of their local centers. i made Manager in a year. Now im working for OM, or anyother upper manager position. and its not luck that i found this job either, you should see some of the trash that we higher and fire ever day. Its not that we just fire people either, you really have to try to get fired here and its so easy to make something of yourself here and the pay isnt horrible. i make about 28,000 and i just started being a manager. Plus, and this is something you must think about, if your not going to school you have to get insurance and a lot of places like this give out great benefits.
You dont have to go to school to get a good job anymore but you do have to look around to find them. But i dont want to bash school either. it makes life way easy depending on what your wanting to do with your life. But if you want another way to go about it, its working for me. |

DO NOT, AND I MEAN THIS, DO NOT JOIN THE MILITARY!! I've been on 1 tour to Iraq and it's not worth the stress and life-sacrificing. Put it simply, just be glad you are alive. With the situation the U.S. is in as far as the war is concern, things are not going so well. It's not easy to see fellow american's dead or seriously injured from the war (I've seen this for over a year and it ain't pretty), why do you think recruiters are trying hard to get people in?! They aren't the ones going through it and most of them don't know how it feels like.

do what makes you happy. thats all there is too it. live your life for you.
life is short, make the most of every second. material things are cool, but i'd trade it all for my friends. find a way to make money and do it, if you want something bad enough it will manifest for you. and one of the most important things is too learn to be satisfied and stop always wanting more. realize what you have and be thankful for every breath you take. -------------------- |
