How shiny and white can I get my 94 celica st coupe super white 2 color car?
What products might I use... My boyfriend loves Meguiar's products so I have been trying to use them but I am not really sure what I am doing... And too, my boyfriend says that a celica doesn't have a thick clear coat like his trans am, so it won't look as nice as his does, Is that true? |

White will never shine as good as say Black, or a darker color. But he is right about the mequirers. I wash then use their regular wax and it makes my car looks great. Also their scratch x works great on small areas. You just have to settle with the look. Wash and wax it and there ya go.

Meguiars, Mothers, and Zymol are all good. Your car should have sufficient clear... Just make sure you spend hours when applying and buffing the polish... You can't just spend 30 minutes applying, then buffing (unless the car has been recently and completely polished). But if the car hasn't been polished in a while (or ever), you should a good amount of time... In doing so, you'll notice a difference after... |

Hay this is a post on a totally different form that I posted but I got my super white 2 to look as shiny as a Torch Red Corvette looks with a good wash job and a good wax job. So here it is:
Well, me and my friends use Meguiar's 3 stage polish and you DO NOT have any swirl marks or what not with this. It takes about 4 hours but it is worth it because you can drive the car every day and wash it at the end of every week and about the 6 to 8 time you wash it is when you can tell the car is starting to get dull again. The process is like this after washing and drying the car: 1)apply the paint cleaner about a good 30mins. 2)remove the paint cleaner without trying to buff or shine any thing about a good 20mins. 3)apply the polish about another good 30mins. 4)remove polish about a good 30mins. * make sure not to have any polish left on car. 5)buff the car with the orbital buffer. about a good 30 mins to 45 mins. 6)apply carnauba wax about a 30 min process. 7)Buff and remove wax with the orbital buffer. about a good 45 to 60 mins. FOR BEST RESULTS also use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Polish 8)apply the car polish which helps to increase the protection and shine of the car. about a 30min process. *don't touch anything black (trim or other wise) because you ain't getting it back to the color if you don't remember to buff that area too (very pain staking process) 9)remove with orbital buffer and buff to desired shine. about another 30 min process. Once you have done that once, from then on you only need to do that once every other month but it usually only takes about 2 to 3 hours from then on. I have used meguiar's and so has my boyfriend and my friends and his. We have the best looking cars around these parts. |
