well ive been workin on the car and that dame check engine finally is getting to me. i check it out and it comes out to be 54..check it out on alldata and it says something like p1 squib line to p2 squib line.. asking around its something about the air bag?? wiring harness was made by dr.tweak and i am sure i put the engine in right. just cant seem to get rid of the dame code..anyone have a clue help please.

yeha i just got done doing what insanity-74 posted up..doesnt seem to be working. i got to look at the wiring harness again. yeah i also have 2 wires just sitting there what dr. tweak wrote on there i think was evp. does that have anything to do with the check engine light on..

code 54 is the intercooler level sensor fault.
are you running the stock wta intercooler? does it have fluid in it? if not then you need to bridge the connection (cut and join the two wires that previously went to the intercooler coolant level sensor togther) -------------------- ST205 Group A Rallye GT-Four, #61 of 77............600hp GT3582r

yeah im runnin a front mount right now. i think i bridge the connection together correctly. now the problem is the did i bridge the right one. the only plug that doesnt have a male connection only has a black/yellow and a yellow/blue wire. i think the one that goes to the intercooler has three wires. i now also see that i need to get a new evp sensor cause i just have two expose wires just sitting there. but the code is still 54 so im still tryin to figure out where tweak placed the coolant lvl sensor plug..?

so your using the OE ecu, what are you doing about the intercooler coolant pump?

yeah i have the oe ecu. where is the coolant pump located on the motor. i dont see anything that looks like the coolant pump. now that u say that i do feel as if the car isnt at its full potiental anymore.

the coolant pump is electric, hence can give error codes. The pump in its stock location is under the passenger (well driver in your case) guard, under and beside the resonator air box. the wires for it is some funky setup where 5 wires merge into two and go into the pump.

well my car is orignally a 5sfe (st204) body so i dont have the pump. now all i have to figure out is where dr. tweak put the ECM sensor. i have just one plug that isnt connected to anything and im tryin that out.

wow thanks guys yeah im runnin a st205 motor. and let me try talkin to dr.tweak first then ill try and do the wiring.. thanks for all the help ill let yah know how it goes
going to post up pictures of the only wires exposed (pink/gray and black /yellow) i think is the evp sensor wires no clue what connects to it and the connector that i thought was the intercooler lvl sensor plug grey/red stripe and white/black stripe. Yeah the Evap plug is just fine if left unplugged, it just connects to a sensor on the ST205's evap canister for emissions. Mine has been unplugged for months now and it runs perfect, no codes. A Code 54 will pop up if the intercooler water level gets too low, if the water level sensor is bad, or if there is an error with the pump in any way. This will also occur if the pump isn't connected, because the ECU will trigger a Code 54 if the resistance load isn't there from the pump being present. Unless Tweak wired this properly to compensate for the lack of a level sensor or pump, then it will trip a code 54. In order for your stock 3rd gen ECU to be happy with a FMIC, the two wires for the intercooler water level sensor must be jumped, as well as wiring in the resistors like WannabeGT4 posted for the intercooler pump wiring. Have Tweak examine how he wired your harness and have him follow the schematic that WannabeGT4 posted....it should be a very easy fix, since not much is needed at all to make the ST205 harness work on a ST204 -Corey -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
