Dipstick.
(No, that's not an insult)
While the oil is running through the engine there's really know way to gauge just how much oil is running through everything so the only way to know is to let the car cool and check your dipstick.

"Hmm. Ask him if he's the dragon reborn."
"What?"
"Just do it."
".......He said yes."
"Tell him you are not darklings. He should open up."
".......Sweet. Thanks."
"No problem."

you wouldnt get an accurate reading until all the oil drained out of the head anyway

yea, I know, but it's not as if 100% of the oil is used, if it shows me half way while motor is running and it was full when motor was cold, I can assume that it's enough...

there is an oil light on the dash that lights up when you are low on oil. When the light comes on, pull over and add oil.

You'll be stopping for gas more often than every 1000 miles, check the oil when you stop for gas.

Yes, I know there is a light, but when the light comes up, it means it's pretty much dry... and it migh had damage on it that is ereversable

it doesn't tell you anything when the car is not running. Get an electrical oil pressure gauge or just don't drive the car on long trips if you are that worried about it.
