okay, so i'm kina a techno-nerd. I saved my @ss off for a Motorola A1200, and have had it for a few years.
Well; My wife goes thru phones like toilet paper, and she just busted up her Razr phone... She has Att and i have T-Moble. A family member loaned us on of their old T-Mo Phones, a Moto V188 for my wife, but It's a locked phone. I've never had a locked phone from the time i opened my contract with T-Mobile. So the only way for both of us to have phones, I have to give her my bad Azz moto A1200 (THAT SHE'LL BREAK IN A FEW WEEKS), and I have take that peice of Schett V188. It's been 2 years sience i had a phone with buttons, and i dont know how to use em anymore... For those of you that arnt familiar with a A1200 it looks like this (but mine is black not red) So i'm not quite sure how to do anything on this V188, infact, i HATE V serise phones... I dont like the software, i dont like the interface, i dont like the menus, I DONT LIKE THE BUTTONS! I HATE buttons... Does anyone know the Unlock code or Subsidy Code for a Motorola V188? Please help! PLEASE!! This post has been edited by D-Man: Mar 5, 2008 - 10:50 PM -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! hmm i had both phones and t mobile.. but i upgraded to a iphone.. that motorla a1200 breaks down with time... like mine did in two years.. and i have to talk to people using the headset half the time xD but it did its job.
to unlock that phone, i worked with t mobile, so give tmo a call and tell them that your going to asia or europe or something and you need to unlock the phone so you can use the sim cards. and there you go :] -------------------- QUOTE(thespacepanda @ Feb 21, 2008 - 4:37 PM) When I worked for Pizza Hut our store won a health code violation. |

I don't know if it's passed yet, but there's a bill in Congress that basically makes phones NON proprietary - meaning, you can use whatever brand of phone on whatever network you want, provided the technology is compatible (for example, I can't get an iPhone cause it's GPRS or whatever it's called, and I'm on Verizon which uses CDMA technology).
Definitely call T-Mobile, I don't think you even have to lie about anything, just tell them your situation and see if they'll help you. I'd definitely go that route before trying to hack anything. It's amazing how accommodating people are willing to be when you're honest and just say please. -------------------- |

When i got the A1200 phone, i needed the IP address to the servers so i could use my internet, plus gateway routing information so i could use SMS (text/pict message) not to mention the mailbox server so i could be aware that i hade voice mail and so forth. I had to get the info from a hack site because t-mobile said that i wouldnt have that problem if i used their phone~ When a phone is locked then it stores theese settings. If you unlock it, then you must set theese settings up. However you can save multiple different settings; depending on the hand-sets capabilities. On the bright side, my boss just gave me a computer... And my moms said she's got 2 for me the next time me and the Mrs visits. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! LOL our cell phone repair dept usually suggests for the customer to either throw the phone away or use it as a paper weight if they dont know the unlock code..

Unfortuenetly, i just relized that when he worked at pizza hut; He won the National Health Code Violation Award... Witch makes me happy to take his advice and trust him. He's won a National Award after all. Pizza anyone but really!! It's a v188 so im not sure if it has any other bands (i cant check here at work) so i'll find out what country is compatable with when i get home. and try t-mobile. Also; i posted up on howards fourms, i'll see what kind of fruit that bears when i get home. As for the unlock-a-phone.com or whatever, thanks for the advice, but they want 25 bucks and want me to mail it in... I need the phone NOW! lol. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive.
