I checked and the price has uped significantly. Is this because they don't have any in stock any more and have to order from either Japan or Europe?

The hood is $416.34 from www.1sttoyotaparts.com. This is who I usually buy all of my parts from. They are always cheaper than champion toyota...but they cant seem to get the GT-Four fogs for some reason.

1stparts refuses to sell me the hood. Well the price of the hood was cheaper before, I dont understand why their net price went up thats all. I was hoping to pay maybe 550 shipped, but it seems like it will be higher now.

I'm confused, so if it's $416 for the hood and you wanted to pay $550..what's the prob ? what was the price before ? and before what ? -------------------- |

I know what he is refering to. All Toyota parts prices have increased slightly within the last couple weeks. It doesnt matter which dealer you buy them from, everyone has had an increase. Obviously not all dealers charge the same amount, but they should have all increased the same % amount.

Well what I'm trying to say is that a month ago the NET price from toyota world was $311 plus shipping so $550. Now the NET price is like what $427, so add shipping to that almost almost $670. I don't know about you but I'd rather pay 550 shipped than 670. Oh btw I already have the vents no need for it from them.

I spose as the dollar gets weaker, its buying power becomes less...hense more expensive to buy forign products...hense the price goes up.

Print out whatever price quote you have along with the part number for the hood, and hand it to your local toyota dealer. Dont mention anything about this hood being from a jdm car or anything like that. They should be able to look up the part number and order it for you. Ask them to match the price too. If they say anything like " oh, i dont know if this part is going to come in", just say yes it will, i ordered it before. NICE... Thanks for the heads up. I never thought that a local toyota dealer would be willing to price match.
