What'a up guys?!?! My name is Manny. I am a long time member and moderator on another 7th Gen Celica board. I used to own a 2000 Toyota Celica GT 5SPD. I now own a 1994 Toyota Celica GT Coupe 5SPD. I would like to become as rich on knowledge on the 6th gen as I have become on the 7th gen.
If you guys could point me in the right directions, I'd sincerely appreciate it. I am looking to start off by researching basic modifications and possibly some statistical information for comparison such as dyno's and such. Feel free to contact me on my AIM Name, which I would need a heads up since I have it set to "Allow BL User only". PM me or if there is any corrective criticisim anyone has for me, I encourage you all to push it my way. Thanks in advance and I hope to make good use of this site. - Emanuel (Manny) -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica Coupe 5SPD. 100 % Stock.

welcome to the sight, you got the right gen this time!
Ok well the first question they're gonna ask is what are you going for? Looks, performance, handling, turbo, or engine swap(3sgte). Suspension is the favorite since our car does really well handling turns. Performance is a hard road since there isn't a lot available for our cars. If you type in some keywords and search the forums, you might figure out which route you want to take. Good luck and post some pics |

I loved my 7th Gen. I just put over 150k miles on it in a couple years and I didnt feel it was worth investing in another one. I got my 1994 Gt for 900 dollars. Only defect would be a primered hood and the power locks doesnt open the passenger side. Otherwise pretty nice.
I actually wanted a 6th Gen. When I went to the dealer to see some they had some used 2000's and I went for that. Engine swap? I have thought alot about a 3sgte swap but that would be down the road as I would need to have a 2nd vehicle and I would also need to get to "trust" my car before I invest so much money. Basically I wanted to start with A drop, wheels, i/h/e. I prefer exhuasts that dont sound like a helicopter is coming down. I know of the search function. hehe, I just wanted to introduce myself as I became familiar with the site. I also wanted to see what the atmosphere here is like. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica Coupe 5SPD. 100 % Stock.

The first thing I personally would do is get your car up to date. I'd give it a good tune-up, check for rust, and make sure everything works like your door locks. Next I'd focus on your hood cuz the best part about our cars is their looks. It's a very unique look that you dont' see a lot and you should make that stand out with a good paint job. I'm currently in the middle of the i/h/e route so can't comment too much on that.

The power lock mechanism I can get at a junk yard easy here in Philly. The hood I am going to start getting it quoted. Its already primered, just needs paint. Should be cheap.
