But, i'm a Cowboys fan - so i can't agree. ![]() I don't get it? What does being a Cowboys fan have to do with anything? In the commercial, the letter from the Giants reads: "A gift from the NY Giants, enjoy it (perfection) for one more year." Thus, i take this to mean that the Giants have their minds set on a perfect season next year. This means for a Cowboys fan 2 losses plus no trip to the superbowl next year. If i've understood the commercial correctly, this should be a pretty solid conclusion. ![]() No, you didn't understand it correctly. That was the 1972 Dolphins in the commercial. They went undefeated back when the NFL was a 14 game regular season. They finished 17-0. The football is a gift from the giants protecting the only team to go a full season undefeated. Edit: Only team in the NFL, pre-NFL doesn't count. This post has been edited by Cutrara: Feb 5, 2008 - 11:10 AM -------------------- |

QUOTE(crandsberry @ Feb 5, 2008 - 10:45 AM) Im glad Giants made the upset, buut only one flag one them the entire game? a little fishy It's the superbowl. At this point both teams shouldn't be making penalties and it was a pretty penalty free game. The only penalty on the giants was the pass interference and the Pats had some false starts. I see nothing fishy at all. -------------------- |

Why was that pointless info? I was initially talking about the commercials. It's okay for others to provide commentary on the commercials but mine is pointless info? Anyway I'm over it... back on off-topic. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Edit: Only team in the NFL, pre-NFL doesn't count. Correction - i did understand it correctly. I understand the "basic" meaning of the commercial, but was looking beyond the facts of it to think what it could mean symbolically - what it could mean for future Giants/NFL etc. That's what eric and i were talking about. We were not trying to figure out its basic meaning. Thanks anyway... ![]() -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ
