Hey everyone, I haven't posted on this forum in a long time, but I recently decided to sell my Celica. It has been my daily driver for about 6 years and has been extremely reliable.

This car had pretty much every option installed from the factory (leather sport seats, premium sound system, sport suspension, moonroof). Obviously, there has been wear and tear over the years. I haven't made any modifications other than a short ram intake and an aluminum bezel around the gauges. The Celi currently has 184,xxx miles.

I am asking $2,600 for the car O.B.O. (below KBB value because I'm trying to sell it quickly)...make any offer and we'll go from there! I put together a brief description so you can get an idea of its condition.

THE GOOD:
-it runs excellent
-new rotors and pads are in great shape
-oil changes always between 2800 - 3500 miles
-tires look good
-many of the miles are highway (gf lives 50 miles from where I live)
-new spark plugs and wires
-timing belt changed at 160k miles
-premium sound system (from Toyota)
-stock Celica rims
-moonroof
-A/C and heating work perfectly

COULD USE SOME WORK:
-paintjob and a couple small dents on the side
-gas tank can only be 1/2 - 2/3 filled because it has a crack somewhere at the top (which you might be able to fix)
-ABS does not work ever since I changed the CV joints (could probably be fixed also but my mechanic didn't know why it stopped working)
-leather seats are not in the greatest shape
-clutch slipping a little under hard acceleration but works perfectly fine in normal driving

I live in central New Jersey, close to Eric (Daftboy). Thanks for looking!

The clutch works great as long as you don't ride it or accelerate very hard (if you do that it heats up and starts to slip). I learned how to drive the car so it doesn't slip at all. I can get some pics tomorrow or Sunday and I could probably drive a couple hours to meet up with you somewhere in PA if you're definitely interested in the car.

I am interested but i would like to see pictures first before i make any decisions smile.gif I need a daily driver the only thing is the gas tank. I guess i could replace it but dont know how much of a job it would be. I can replace the clutch myself. finding a gas tank might be hard

The gas tank does not necessarily need to be replaced. You will have no problems with it if you don't fill it more than halfway because that's when the gas will splash around and get in the crack. I drove this way for about a year and a half and the only inconvenience is that you have to stop for gas more often... I know it's not the best solution, so if you want me to replace it, add around $300 to the price of the car.

However, if you're able to buy the car soon, I have no problem selling it for cheaper! So make an offer if you're even remotely interested.
(edit) - Can you tell I really need the money? lol

Cool, I gotta get the exact price for the gas tank but hopefully it's not much more than what I said.

bump!

This car is in very good running condition, make an offer anyone! If you can work on it a bit, you can make it RUN AND LOOK NEW for around $1500.

...probably the last time I bump this, then trying to sell it locally...

Anyway, new price... $2500 O.B.O. WITH the gas tank fixed smile.gif

If anyone needs a cheap commuter car, you can't beat it. The clutch, like I said, works perfectly fine in normal driving and will last for another year/year and a half at least... Over the last few months I spent about $600 dollars on maintenance so the car is in really good shape. If anyone is interested or wants more info, let me know.

I guess it one more bump wouldn't hurt... Gas tank has been changed. I will take $2100 and sell it with steel wheels and hubcaps if anyone is interested. The car runs really well, so at this price it's a pretty good deal.

bump again, maybe someone who appreciates 6gc's will buy her

As a summary....

The good: engine runs amazing, lots of factory options, timing belt changed last year, new rotors and brakes, valve cover gasket changed, new spark plugs and wires, new O2 sensor, gas tank problem solved (changed it)
The bad: some small dents and a little rust in one of the dents, ABS does not work (needs a sensor I think), drivable but could use a new clutch

I am not in a great hurry to sell the car anymore, so I am asking $2500, but the price is negotiable.
