guess what my girlfriend got me! biggrin.gif I'm leaving tomorrow for a couple days vacation, I'll post pics of the install when I get back. I still need to get the spring insulators and the bump rubbers. also considering buying a spring compressor if they're not too expensive.

you dont need a spring compressor if your lowering and using new struts and springs.

quick question, for the fronts (or is is the rears?) it comes with a whole big assembly that the two lower bolts bolt through, and for the other two it's just the shock. I looked through my BGB and it doesn't say anything about the shock being able to be removed. So... how does it come apart?

the rear is the entire assembly. The fronts have just the cartridge that goes into your assembly.

let me look for a link...

if you have sealed front struts (sports suspension) then it will be a little different, but lets hope for the best smile.gif

thanks! If I had known about the assemblies sold for the sealed struts before I would've just gotten those. oh well, too late now. I'll just have to check for sealed or not BEFORE I take everything apart. lol.

well hey, what fun would any car projects be without finding out you have the wrong parts, running out and getting the right ones at a local store for a lot more than what you would spend on the internet, but with the convinience of having them NOW instead of waiting a few days, and spending 6+ hours on a supposed 2-3 hour project? tongue.gif

sport suspension was an option, not standard on GTs.
