Since ive put a spoiler on i think the weight of it is too much for the hatch supports... and it wont stay up when you open the hatch. is there any way to strenghtn/tighten the support "things" so they can handle the extra weight and stay open. thanks

change the strut thingy on the hatch..

yep, you need stronger hatch struts... but if your celica had a stock one they should be strong enough for any spoiler you put on it.. unless they've gone bad..
I put on a Z-Glide style after my stock one was ripped off by someone.. and it held fine. -------------------- ~Daniel~ No Longer Celica Owner.. moved on to a 03 WRX-EJ207

i paid $68 on ebay for a new set for mine. they work well, but for how long? who knows..
i checked at my local auto parts store, they wanted 45 each. So for a pair it would costed me ~$90. |
