What if i bought a 5th gen all trac, sold my 6th gen gt... drove around my 5th gen around while i buy a beat up 6th gen... i completly restore my 6th gen, new pain body everything, then once all that is done i take the motor out of my 5th gen and drop it into my restored 6th gen?

That way i get to drive an AWD for awhile, while i can dump money into a 6g making it all nice and perfect... untill i swap the motors?

Im just thinking out loud here... Mods feel free to delete this if you want to...

LOL i was looking at the this morning but i couldnt figure out if that was the kind of 3 i want... i thought only the 3s that were in the 5th gens are a direct bolt on in my GT?

Any body see a problem, like it not working in my 94 GT, or a reason why i shouldn't buy this 88 all trac and take the engine out and rebuild it?

Wouldnt a 3sgte out of a 5th gen be better?

88 all track has a 1st gen 3SGTE, comes factory with 200 hp, by the time you pay for rebuilt and get it installed you'd have spend more than a regular 3sgte swap and won't have even close to the same amount of power.

it's that a good enough reason for you ? smile.gif

ya that is a good reason alright
so would it be worth the extra money to buy a 3rd generation over a 2nd 3sgte? Assiming I rebuild it

Thanks

Fair enough... just thought I'd share. Here's an auction for a 3rd gen 3sgte
