The question i will have to myself is, would i get mad if somebody says a bad comment about my car.

I really like it. i would not put it in my car, because sometimes i am sensitive to comments.

I would really aprecciate if people will keep these kind of comments to themselves. but this is not how the world goes.

If you like it, want it and dont care what others say, and some people will talk (human nature) I would put it on.

My problem is i dont qualify to tolerate. i would say go for it. Its your style. Your personal signature.

Can I just ask a questions?--why blue? I think a gun-metal grey would look nicer and match the silver better.
Also, will that be a decal, you should see if you can find someone to airbrush it on your car.
Personally, I think it's pretty neat and it does match the theme of Celica (dragon) although, I wouldn't do it for my car, it'll make your car stand out more though.
Hope all goes well man, can't wait to see it at the Sherbrooke meet!

blue, 'cus the interior and the lighting (courtesy lights, instrument panel bulbs, sub box lights is/will be blue). i would no doubt look to have it airbrushed and top-coated. it will not be done for this summer. i may do it when i get the car re-painted professionally next summer('09). it has a DIY paintjob on it now that i did in '06.

I think that decals in an everyday used car, are in 99.9% cases tacky. Dont do it.

thanks for all the replies and the comments. that is why i post here...honest, simple and fair. i may have skewed the results by using the word RICE in my post. i realize i shouldn't pre-judge my own work. i have come to think that decals or air brushing is best left for professionals-- people who compete in shows, body shop reps and heavy modders with more talent and money than me. you are all great "friends" to have and i consider 6gc.net a well mannered "family".

it would look a lot better if there were more stickers all over the car but if you do a clean job it could turn out pretty slick. who knows? ... anyway it your ride dude who cares what others think.

don't worry if someone else consider it rice or not, if you like it then go for it.

it's your car. build it to your taste.

X2 this is exactly what i was going to say. Everyone is different and you cant please everyone, there is always something on our cars that someones not going to like or flame, and if you try to please everyone its not going to work. Your car is your way of expressing yourself, not what everyone thinks it should look like.. IMO I would rather small decals (like 6gc) on my windows to represent, or have a body image airbrushed, but not all of us have that kind of cash, so go for the decal if thats what YOU WANT, dont worry if some ppl dont like it, cause its only our oppinions, not yours. Let us know what you do, and if you do choose to do so, pics and what you choose to put on.

Cheers, Feen

I don't think it really matches your car color. Mind you this is coming from someone with a vinyl dragon on his own car. My car is yellow so a black dragon seemed like a simple choice for me. I'm liking it for now but not sure if I will get tired of it or not in the future. Can't find a pic but i'll post one soon.
