Exhaust System

I dont care that it comes from SSautochrome,

i was just wondering how much of this system would actually bolt up to a 1994 GT HB?

i can tig weld so that is not an issue if welding is needed, but could i get it more than just the cat-back portion of it bolted up?

or because its meant for a GT-4 it runs besides the drive shaft and wouldnt fit at all?

From the picture it looks like the bit where the flexi pipe is situated compared to the GT cuts off short to allow for would normally be on the GT4 the turbo downpipe. On the GT this continues up and meets the manifold.

Alos from the back box on my GT it has a straight pipe before it bends, whereas the GT4 bends immediately, I guess to allow for the rear wheel drive axel perhaps!

Don't quote me on this as it's only from looking at a photo and seeing only a handle of GT4 exhaust systems but the unless your willing to do a fair bit of extensive welding and fitting to get a custom exhaust then it wont fit!

Why not just get the Blitz Realize TT, which is specific for our cars, with a 60.5mm Cat back system and 100mm tailpipe!

#1 unless you have a 3sgte swap, you will loose performance with a 3" exhaust like this one.
#2. since you have an st, none of these parts will bolt up.
#3, SS autochrome stuff is noturious for bad fitment, especially with these exhaust parts.
from what ive read, the 185 exhaust dont fit the car at all.
#4 if you can TIG, why not weld up your own custom exhaust?

Thanks for the info guys

#1. i understand that i would loose performance with this system
#2. I have both and St and a GT biggrin.gif
#3. I have heard that about ssautochrome a lot, glad to be reaffirmed that they have bad fitment
#4. I can TIG weld, i was just wondering if i could use this and do slight modifications, i dont have a lift so welding up a system is harder for me because i have to keep crawling under the car every two mins.

Thanks for the info about this guys, i was just curious to see if any of this system would remotely match for a GT, but it seems like it will not.

This is why i ask questions here, because you all have so much more knowledge than i do.

Once again thanks

Matt
