I was thinking about putting a CB radio in my celica and i was wondering if anyone has ever done this before? I hiding it in the glovebox was my first thought but i thought i would ask just in case someone knew of a better idea. Should i actually install one, im pretty sure i would mount the antenna in the rear opposite the FM antenna.

wouldn't you rather use an FRS instead? portable, better sound quality, no antennas to install, possibly better range?...

As for mounting the CB, you might want to mount it where you can reach it, like on the roof or (with some slight modification) that space where a factory amplifier is. (amp is small and moveable) But i gotta agree with azian advace on this one... go small and portable... Whats up with the CB anyway? Get a Scanner!! That's whats up! -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. As for your trucker friends... I say you converse with the original telephone.... 2 Can's and a peice of String!! Kidding, but you would have to buy one EXPENSIVE antena to keep it small. But if its worth it to you, then it's money well spent -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. install rubber ducky antenna's on the radio antenna itself if you're not using that. it will kinda look like an S2000 antenna, but would it give you the right range? Im not sure? Will it work? Not sure either... just throwing some ideas here.

I went on a road trip once from here to Nashville and had a CB radio w/me. I learned some new words and interesting jokes on that trip. One of them even had to do with bananas.

CB radio is great for long road trips and such, can easily communicate with friends in other cars and if your bored just listen to some of the things the truckers talk about, it's quite ammusing..lol If you just want it for a daily basis driving like 5 miles here and there, probably not worth it. my $.02
