Lol that works too, but I thought they'd probably do a flashback of how Vin Diesal met that Han guy because in the end of tokyo drift, it takls about it, and somehow it all ties up with Vin meeting up with Paul Walker again somewhere.
Meh, they were all cool, the first f&f was great but i enjoyed the girls and the cars the most in tokyo drift |

The first was the best out of the 3 so far, but I like the cars in Tokyo Drift way more than the other two, not as much rice... Too bad they didn't keep the storyline consistent throughout all three, would have been more entertaining b/c you would have already had the background of the characters.
btw-has anyone actually heard much else about the 4th one other than it's comming out sometime this year or next..? -------------------- |

it was one of those first movies where i refused to burn it i had to have the original copies. I saw all three in theaters and after the 3rd one i took my 626 on the back roads and went "drifitng" lmao....it was hilarious as it was awesome, i have to say i loved the last one cause there was so many of my fave cars in there...
OH did any of you argue with anyone about what the car han was driving after his first car got mangled? i knew right off the bat it was an rx7 and i argued with so many freakin ppl!!!!!!!! hope it comes out soon! FF4 takes place five years after the events of FF1. Dom is hiding out in the Dominican Republic after having been let go by Brian at the end of FF1. It’s here that he meets Han. Meanwhile, Brian is in prison in Arizona. But wait, there’s a twist — Brian is undercover for the feds, and after completing his assignment, he’s back out on the streets. So what’s happened to Letty, Dom’s girlfriend? She’s been trying to keep the crew from going under in his absence. This includes running drugs via their soup up cars for notorious South American drug dealer Antonio Braga, a man no one has ever seen. After one of her runs for Braga, Letty is killed, presumably by Braga enforcer Fenix. Dom is told about Letty’s death from Mia (his sister) via a phone call. He returns to America to attend her funeral. Brian is also there, and fills him in. Brian tells Dom he’s going after Braga. That makes two of them. And that is your set up for FF4. The Latino Review reviewer calls it the best FF story he’s read in the whole franchise. I’m not sure about that. Just make sure the hot babes and hot cars keep coming, and everything will be alright. scweet! its gunna be sweet and doms car is a new mustang? lol This post has been edited by speedfeen: Feb 27, 2008 - 1:01 PM -------------------- FEEN |

Nope, no arguments, but that was definately my favorite car in that movie. I'm not usually a fan of orange cars, but DAMN, they did good with that car especially since it was a two-tone. Sucked when they totalled it toward the end too I don't know about Paul Walker driving an STI in the new one..Doesn't fit his character imo QUOTE(D-Man @ Feb 27, 2008 - 6:00 PM) QUOTE(96bluevert @ Feb 27, 2008 - 12:31 PM) Too bad they didn't keep the storyline consistent throughout all three, would have been more entertaining b/c you would have already had the background of the characters. there was a storyline to that? whoa~ It was like watching mortal kombat and mortal kombat anilation... Man its like more than 10,000$ for that kit too, includes the whole body kit, headlights and sideskirts and and and lol This post has been edited by speedfeen: Feb 27, 2008 - 1:14 PM -------------------- FEEN |

Fast and the Furious......... Remake of an old popular film........ Okay, I have to admit, I did really enjoy the first one. The second one sucked big time (at least to me) and what is up with the dialog? Who the hell writes the script? How many men in their 30's actually say "Bra" that much? No seriously, that is why it is hard to love the film, that stupid dialog. Not very realistic. Honestly another thing that upsets me is this (Hollywood's Fault).
I am learning about diversity of film in my film studies class. Right now, we are covering asian americans and how asians are looked at from hollywood. There was also a documentary with a survey of asian women, asking why the majority of them prefer white guys over all other races. What they said was that they didn't want small asian men, but the big hero white guy (because that is what they see in the movies... Thanks Hollywood). So with that said, we are watching movies with Japanese Vechicles, where the asians get a very small role. Even Rj De Vera, who is a big name in import racing (or was) when the first Fast and the Furious came out, had a very very small role. Tokyo drift.... A country white dude shows up and beats the best Japanese drifter with an american vehicle. Pardon me, but if I were Japanese, I might find that very offensive. Much like one might have felt watching Last Samurai. I am sorry, but nobody would be taught the secrets of Samurai. Especially an American. Never! Anyways, I know you may say they are just movies, but that's what takes place. I would still watch the 4th one for the cars, but the acting isn't loved very much in these films. Nor the dialog or the style. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

The plot summary is exactly the same as the one that was floating around before Tokyo drift details were released. I'm not saying this is fake - just to be aware that this may be a rehashing of the same old rumour.
I too liked the movies alot. Speedfeen - i like the bolts showing on that kit. Kinda gives it that extra mechanical look. i'm sure you could have the kit molded anyway you want if you tried hard enough. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. someone had a dark red rx7 with that kit on it and it looks awesome! it was on autotrader for $60k, because it had tons of upgrades and was in some Import Tuner Magazine. I don't read magazines any more, but I did before I had a car. LOL They mainly have hondas and such in them anyways....

yea modified mag is a good one....i think the best story line was the 1st one with out a doubt....they should have built off of that instead of waiting till the 4th one...but o0 well..its still is going to be better then the 2nd and 3rd one i think...the 3rd one was way toooooo short....i hope they make the 4th one a little longer and maybe even leave it open for a 5th one to come out.....i think that vin diesel and walker together make for a great movie...thats y the others werent as great...soo i may be rambling but im really looking forward to the 4th

ok first of all... the first one was the best because the racing scenes were real. none of this computer animated **** done in the 2nd one. although the 2nd one made up for it in the first ten minutes via the most unreal car ever.. THE NISSAN SKYLINE GTR34! even if they dismembered the drive train in order to get it to drift a bit during the race scene... and the third one was more impressive with the reality of the race scenes and the lack of computer animation but the story line was lacking as was the leading actors/actresses. hopefully they do better with the 4th. oh, and the rx7 from the 3rd is a tie for 2nd w/my other favorite... the TT SUPRA!

theres been so much speculation around the 4th one. The first one was decent, the second one was too cheesy, the 3rd one was alright but kinda stupid. It kinda gave the image that every person in japan drives a highly modified, extreamly ugly car. Like, lil bow-wow's part in that movie was terrible...and his hulk VW...im not even gonna ask. but it also gave the image that every one in japan drifts and are professional drifters, and thats the only type of racing they do over there.
But ive heard like 5 different things about this up-coming movie. Ive heard its gonna take place in europe, like in france or germany. Ive also heard its gonna take place in the UK, then ive heard it mexico and then in the middle east..but i think that last one was for a joke. Either way, im not gonna b holding my breath for it. The novelty of thouse movies has worn off. I thought the first one was tits when it first came out...but then again i was like...13 or 14. |
