Zephyr kit question, To all those w/ zephyer kits Options

How hard is it to remove the front zephyr lip from the front bumper? how many bolts or was adhesive used to put it on, if it is bolted how hard is it to remove, just a few screws or what?

I just wanted to know for future reference, to see if I could remove it for easier acces to fit a jack under the car, and also for everday driving cuz the roads suck here in Louisiana.

Well mine was rivited they put four in. So you couldn't remove it. If your going with the full kit then its going to be harder to get a jack under it especially if you have lowered your car at all. But you can get around those problems. Also I had mine lowered 1.5 and with the lip I had a 6.5 ( I think) ground clearence. Hope that this helps.

the first time I installed it myself, I used just some bolts, one in each wheel well, it didn't look bad at all. and two more in the front.

the second time I had it installed, they used four rivets, in the same places

so I couldn't remove it.

just dont be ghetto and use zipties, unless you get the urge for some fwd driftin'

I think I might have found a solution if I lower it, I can just install two bolts in the front going throught the stock bumper, not upward but directly into the bottom half of the bumper, that way I can easily unscrew it. I will also have the two bolts by the wheel wells.

Just have to wait until I have the money aside to take it to a bodyshop.

lads, do we have this problem with every kit? was thinkin of gettin the erebuni 404 but would really like to be able to jack the car up from time to time (can be quite handy!)

Dudes... a floor jack may not fit... but your factory jack should fit. Now if you're car is too low, then just get a piece of lumber from a hardware store, drive over it, then lift your car with the jack...

See... that wasn't too difficult now, was it?

This is just another tidbit of info being stored on the side for future purpose.

Right now I'm helping a friend strip down a 5-spd 87 Celica GT-S, so far, everything is gone except the headliner and dash panels. I might give him my GT rims in exchange for a set of 17" Enkei RS-5's(tires bald, but no dents or cracks)

So now I'm thinking of buying the front lip and skirts. Should I just install them myself so some moron at the body shop doesn't use rivets? I don't want to pay $25 for an oil change when I can do it myself for $10.
