After my last conversation with Marco I wasn't sure if anyone was registering so I did on paypal ( I have paypal smile.gif ) . I was alittle uncomfortable doing so without a sponsor link to the event but I figured it was only 6 bucks. I also asked for info on the show as to time of arrival and other important info but have yet to get a response back so I am still alittle worried about the validity of the account. I will keep you posted and if everything is o.k. we can use my account for the final registration of who else is entering. Sorry for my premature registration (it's never happened before biggrin.gif ). I also registered last week for Toyotafest so that would be great to meet with Derrick to roll in together. We would also love for everyone else to go and show support (Toyotafest to be continued at another post biggrin.gif ).

I have Paypal, just give me the final vehicle count, and I will handle registration and payment for everyone. I have PM'd RollaOne once again with no reply as of yet. It has only been 24 hours since the PM was sent, so I would understand why I have no reply as of yet. Just attend with your pretty little Celicas, and I will take care of the rest.

Toyota fest will be fun Ty smile.gif. We will definatly have to arrange something for that! I haven't been to Long Beach location yet. I really liked the Queen Mary where the Classic Japanese car show was also held. Do you know when registration for Toyota fest ends Ty?

Sounds great Derrick I will also inform you if and when they get back to me on registration for the Penske meet. As for Toyotafest early registration ends 04/10/08 but the spots are limited so don't wait too long (as I did last year and missed out frown.gif ). I went on www.toyotaclub.org to register. It was pretty easy and it asked if I was part of any car club so I proudly put 6GC.net biggrin.gif

Oh yes, I checked with them. I'm sure registration is going to fill up very very fast this year as toyota enthusiasts always wait for this one meeet each year. If I reserve my spot now, I'm sure that my car will be parked next to yours. I'm not sure if my car is "Toyota Nice" though. I think with my Lambo doors, my car may be too over the top. idk. Maybe I'll just leave my doors closed for this show. I like how they divide the cars up by model. It really does make the meet more enjoyable since you'll be able to compare cars more easily. They try to organize make/model parking at some of the public meets I go to, and I think that's just ridiculous. Because I rarely ever roll in with Celica guys, so they want me to park away from my friends.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet about the CV axle, I have been very busy and not in my garage. I will let you know the sizes of everything as soon as I find them. I should be replacing my axle tomorrow night if at all possible. Or even TONIGHT! I was invited to a Willow Springs event on Sunday and would really like to run my Celica.

Aww well, i don't think my Celica is going to be doing any track runs tomorrow. I wasn't able to get my CV axle done today, so I don't want to run my car hard with it in this condition. I will just stay home and replace it tomorrow.

How about this. Next month, we will have a Celica track day. But that's a lot planned for next month. Right now, things aren't going so well with things, so if things keep going the way they are going, April might just be my last month here in SoCal. But gah it's still all up in the air. I'll have to see when the time gets closer.

Well I was thinking about going to go to HobbyTown USA and then buying a bunch of plastic track pieces and connecting them together. After that we will borrow a shrinking machine from Wayne Szalinski and put our Celicas on the track and race them around. We will then put a loop in it where we can go upside down. lyke omfgz!!!!

Yes. A real track.

Marco, if they let me and my car on the track, I'm pretty sure you guys don't have much to worry about. Although I think you still need a helmet. A lot of places frown upon or don't allow open top cars on tracks without a roll cage. But I'm the only one that needs to worry about that wink.gif.

Helmets are cool to have even if you don't have a car! If you don't already have one, then I recommend that you get one, just cause they are so cool smile.gif.

Dude, don't worry about it. It's the new trend. Everybody's doing it! c'mon! Ok, so RollaOne never replied back to my PM asking what time this event begins.

Still no word back from RollaOne. I really wish there was a better way to contact them regarding the meet. But I have heard nothing else about this meet. RollaOne is the only person to have posted on other forums about this, and nowhere else online does it say anything about a meet at Penske Toyota or what time it begins. 2 more weeks before registration ends, but I feel unsecure about sending money in to someone who doesn't reply to PMs.

I registered on the 20th and have gotten no reply back either. I called the dealership also and no one knew anything about a meet. I'm begining to think I just threw away my money. I really hope that's not the case but this Shannon on paypal or someone affiliated with this meet really needs to contact me in some way because I paid money in faith and am left in the dark-very upsetting.

On the bright side, it was only $6. I'm going to hold off on any type of payment until I hear some type of confirmation. I find it suspicious that they accepted your payment without even having an official Celica class yet to enter in since you were the only one to confirm any type of attendence. Please keep me updated TY if you hear anything else regarding the meet.

Your Celi has a new cousin!? Score! smile.gif. Don't worry Nam, I'll be moving up there soon and I already know a few Celica guys up there so we will be able to get some things together. What area do you live in btw?

I'm in South San Francisco (near SFO). It's pretty tame up here. Well, maybe it's just me b/c I've haven't been out and about that much. A ton of MR2s up here, some 6GCs, and your usual supras here and there. Oddly, there aren't that many Civics here...Integra, yes, but no Civies.

BTW, I test drove the IS-F the other day. I counted how many times I said "wow". It was four times to be exact, once when I got in and was admiring the interior, once when I went from 20-80 (in a 45-zone) in what seemed like 3 seconds (haha, salesman was like, "WTF are you doing!?!", once when I made a quick U-turn (incredibly tight turning radius!), and one more time when I got out (finally). That's one nice car. biggrin.gif

hahaha that is typically how people test drive the IS-F. My friend bought one, it's blue (there's a special name for it, but I forget the name). It's really really really nice. If you do decide to get one, then let me know, I'll be able to hook you up with one. I thought about getting one, but I might just get the GS350 because it has more room inside, and it's plenty quick enough for me. Ehh I say I'm going to get a lot of cars, but only buy about 3 a year. I have a car buying fetish :x.

I will be seeing you up there in just a few months! We can do that look out one night and find out who is messing with your Celica. I hate Celica poachers! Reason it's taking me so long is just because I'm trying to sell a bunch of stuff so I'll only have 1 car to drive up there and I need to sell everything that doesn't fit inside my Celica. I'm trying to figure out when I'm going to quit my job here, I'm going to miss it a lot.

Anyways, about the meet. If we do not hear back from RollaOne, then stick with the original plan and still meet at Whittier Narrows. We will just spend some time there and feed the ducks or something smile.gif.
