well im new to this site. so was woundering if anyone would know why my car would bogg out at 6k rpm when i step on the gas in all gears. i have the 2 bar map sensor, and the frount mount intercooler and bov hooked up correctly basicly everything that makes the car runnin correctly mostly all the supports. the car is running great but the thing is just that when i push the car to the max i bogg out.. i have the ecu chipped to 8200 rpm but only went up to that like twice. anyone know anything that would cause the problem please let me know.

im only currenty doing 9psi. i have a 3rd gen swap i have a artist automotive chip ecu. warblo 255 fuel pump hks cams and jerrys valves. i have 660 injectors and aem fuel rail with the reguator... also i have the apexi afc hooked up. soo yeah thats about it the engine is also ported or the head is. the car hasnt been tune yet but what ive seen while driving is when i floor the beast i boggs out as soon as i hit 6k but but if i do it again and lay off the gas it seems to pull all the way till 8200 rpm..any clue?

im going to pull out the fuel pump again. later today cuz while i was lookin around the forms. i saw a post about which warblo to get or the right one to get for out type of car.

Did you buy the car already moded? What turbo are you on?

If your still on the stock ct20b, then there is no reason to have 660 injectors in there. You are probably bogging out and loosing power from way too much fuel. You should put the stock 550s in there and get the car on a dyno.

no i swapped the car out my self i have a bored out ct20 in there just waiting to put in the hks 38gtr in i have those just for cause the 550 was messed up and wasnt useable anymore but i still dont understand why the freaken car boggs out. evrything is right well lets just see and let me put in the mr2 550 injectors in and see.. but do u think the fuel pump has anything to do with it?? like what death said im worry now about that too. ooh yeah bored out meaning that the turbo was rebuild and had new finns put in which it spools at like 2500 rpm and keeps up till like 7200 dont know how it works but it holds boost and flys till 7200..tried it on my buddy mr2 almost blew his motor too haha..

You really need to either buy a wideband or get the car on a dyno. That will tell you whats really going on.

But you have 2 obvious problems...
1. you cant just put in bigger injectors on an ecu thats programed for smaller ones. the whole car will loose power and not run correctly. An SAFC is not a proper way to tune for bigger injectors either.
2. If your still on the stock fuel pump, you should get a walbro.

If i were you, i would put the stock 550s in there. 550s are enough for about 360whp worth of fuel and thats way more then you can make from the ct20b.

Then when your ready to upgrade the turbo, I would sell your stock ecu, ct20b and safc and use that money to buy a powerFC or AEM standalone.

then why are you trying to rev to 8k... check your timing, and get a new fuel fiter if your using an old one.

Just remember... just because you dont have a rev limiter, doesnt mean you can/should rev to 8k. Those shims can fly out at high rpm's causing all sorts of problems.
