Need some clarification please. Are there really two different OEM Front Extension/splitters (the ones that flare out and go well with the 404 sideskirts) for the pre-facelift (94-95) vs facelifted (96-99) bumpers? Were there any slight adjustments made, or do they just fit both bumpers? I am set to buy a set from kcizzle, but we have different bumpers. I did a search, but could not find a definitive answer.

Thanks!

Talking about these: any adjustments made for the two different bumpers, or was only one version made?

Yes, there is a difference. There are TRD splitters that go with the 94-95 front bumper and TRD sideskirts, and then there are 96-99 SS-III splitters that go with the 96-99 front bumper and factory sideskirts.

Yes, I realize this. I was wondering ONLY if there were two very slightly different OEM/TRD splitters/extensions made between the pre-facelift vs facelifted bumper.

Not talking about SS-III at all. I know those don't fit the pre-facelift bumper.

Thanks.

No, there's not. A TRD front splitter, is a TRD front splitter. They were all meant for the 94-95 front bumper (or in some cases the ST205 front bumper). If this does not answer your question, then please clarify the question by stating the actual name of the splitter you are referring to, as we all have different opinions on what splitters go well with the 404 skirts.

trd splitters fit both 94-95 and 96-99 bumpers. only thing that changed is the grille and fog light setup.

There are actually three kinds. SS-II Euro Splitters like mine which fit all models, the SS-III splitters that fit only the 96-99 bumpers, and the TRD splitters which is possible as well to fit all models (with some mod on the gt4). Realistically, some splitters were made specifically for certain bumpers, ultimately, they can all fit each other with some modification < if this is what you are wondering.

the trd ones are for your bumper, the ss-iii are for the newer ones

so you would want trd to fit your bumper

are you still planning on the invader sides? if so get a newer bumper and ss-III splitters... or get the ss-II ones like trd has (i like them alot myself) and that should flow well enough with the invader sides, granted you paint them red instead of leaving them plastic plack

No, I am staying with my current bumper and doing the TRD splitters (already received from kcizzle) and invader sides. It should be fine, esp. the flow of the rear splitters with the sideskirts. Thanks for the suggestion though.
