QUOTE hey Rusty sorry i haven't posted something up earlier been super busy coming up to xmas and all i think this is a real cool idea however March might not be such a good time as you see i'm Working in the Toyota Racing Series and might no be able to make these dates but i am keen to see a weekend planned i think you are on the right track i for our first ever meet we shouldn't do a trackday as costs for this would be thru the roof and at the current state of things maybe not such a great idea but we'll put that away untill we have a few more cars i also think that this should be Celica only as thats the whole idea in th first place even if it was a one day affair for starters like meet at a location show off our cars then grab a feed or go for a cruise to get a feed and that would be about it. if we keep thing simple cost will be low and hopefully interest will be high. those are just a few ideas so for i'll have more time to work on this after xmas oh and rusty looks like i'll be in Napier around the 22nd of December after racing at Manfeild on the 21st so if you aren't doing anything you should cruise down and check out the racing. cheers true about the date, we can change the date, i'm just trying to get one that everyone can attend I thought there were other 6gc celica owners on toyspeed (other than us 3 lol) well I kind of though accommodation would be nice for those who have to come a long way, but to keep cost down etc just a quick meet up, and hopefully get other people interested (I like it ) in napier 22nd, why will you be up here? if I can get off work (busy as at xmas too ) yeah sure. stink that I couldn't see you last friday night when we came down, I got all excited when I saw a white celica... but it was a white SS-III +C-one front (or a wannabe SS-III) -------------------- |

turns out iconz (another forum I'm on) has at least 5 celica owners on it, i was somewhat suprised. Advertising on there could help get more numbers

I can get hold of a blimp :L
get the date set first, and since we all live in different areas, we could do a flyer drop on celicas in our own region perhaps? so what date then everyone here? -------------------- |

With all these people pulling out, I better register some interest - no promises, but if I am in NZ at the time of your meet I will make a trip.

hi again well just read some interesting forums from some of you guys i see you know my car. Do you actually know who built it do you know anything about it at all im sorry to sound rude i don't mean to but i don't think that is fair to be disrespecting other peoples ideas and hard work. Maybe conctructive comments rather than name calling and negative comments would paint a better picture of you.
Thanks |
