My car has been acting up lately. Usually in the mornings when i start my car the idle is rough and my car sounds almost like subaru. That lumpy boxer exhaust tone. Usually it goes away when the car is warm but lately its stuck around a lot longer. I also experience quite a bit of power loss when the engine is like that. Then when it starts to warm up, the engine will idle normally but then it will have these brief drops in rpm...it shakes the whole car.
Any ideas of what this could be? Timing? Plugs? I tried fuel injector cleaner...worked for like a week then it went back to its old ways ***UPDATE*** Well i changed the ignition wires and everything is perfect! Thanks again for the advice. Before you do your tuneup [still do it, but this will foul the plugs, so don't waste new plugs] run a can or two of Seafoam through the engine.
IMO don't waste it on the fuel tank or oil, run the whole thing through the intake. -------------------- |
