I can't let that go about the fans. They don't come on that often until it warms up, which it is going to do soon. I want to take care of this ASAP. That noise gets on my nervs, and though the heater is not working well, I tried the A/C and the fan came on again making that loud noise. Do I even need both fans now that I got that radiator? Because I have noticed other cars use only one fan and I have seen those slim universal fans that I might be able to use. Though my car has been in an accident before, I have noticed I might have to do some wiring. Not sure how to go about that, but even so, I dunno what to do. What would you recommend?

One fan is for a/c the other is to cool the engine if it gets too hot. I think you better just leave them as they are..

Yeah but they make a funny noise. It is really loud and makes my car sound so ghetto when they turn on. Do you realize how embarrassing it is to have that thing go off in a drive thru? Oh man...... Or even at a stop light. ARGH! Maybe just needs a new motor?

I also have done the A/C delete and I have run on only one fan with no issues. I recently hooked up both fans just for the hell of it and I have seen no difference there either.
However - when I had the 5S and A/C if the second fan [Pass side] was not hooked up it would almost instantaneously overheat without the second fan [I know this cause I screwed up and forgot to attach that connector at first after getting the Koyo Radiator].
So in conclusion, I think you would be just fine without the second fan as long as you don't plan to run A/C and have a manual transmission. If you are auto tho - I have no idea [and you have my condolances biggrin.gif ]

Does it seem like the fan shroud is still rubbing against the motor mount causing the noise you heard? If so you may want to shave it more or bend the lip back on the upper radiator support like I did.
Hope this helps

The second fan only runs for the AC, it doesn't run if the engine gets hot.
If you have no AC, you don't need the fan.
However, if you DO have AC, you do need the fan, auto or manual trans.

What's the problem with your fan? If it's coming on you need it..........
All fans make noise, is it damaged? If it is, why don't you just replace it?
