well my car crapped out on me today and i think i might need new pistons, but not for sure yet tho. all i was wondering was where would be the best place in your opinions to order 2nd gen 3sgte Engine parts from.
i really don't have the time to mess around with a bunch of online stores that claim they have my part but really don't if u know what i mean.

Well, the best thing to do is tear the engine down and find out what you actually NEED, then go from there.

Unless you just want to replace everything.

What are your power goals and budget?

i'm not planning a total overhaul or anything. just gonna get what i need to get her running again. i don't think i have a set budget yet untill i can diagnose the problem.

we're gonna check it out tomorow. it was too dark and windy by the time we got it home today to work on it. i was just hoping to get a head start and figure out where i'll be ordering this stuff from now, as to waiting then trying to figure it out.

When I had my Talon TSI, I had it fully built up. It had a big 16g turbo, 264/272 hks cams, decked the block and head, ported/polished, bored .020...I was told to go with JE inverted dome top pistons (forged). They were awesome (they're made to handle big power and above from turbos, nos, and superchargers. I recommend them...I know they can be custom made too. (the inverted dome top was for added valve clearance support...I know you want to keep the compression down on a turbo motor, but I didn't add an exhaust mani...I got a 2nd gen and bolted it right on).
