i'll just get to the point on this one. my CEL is on and when i cheked it, the code was 43.
code 43: "No STA signal to ECU until engine speed reaches 800 rpm with vehicle not moving." what exactly does this mean? i've searched for over half an hour and it still isn't making sense. Thank you. -------------------- 1st car- 1994 Celica GT 2.2L 5s-fe SOLD

i dont know if i'm telling you anything new, but its your starter signal.
and dont think im trying to be an internet mechanic lol i just searched around too man. i read to check your ignition circuit switch. its like the engine isn't gettting the signal to turn over because its not cranking 800RPMS on start. thats just my take i could be wrong. hope this is somewhat helpful and good luck bro -------------------- **If you play My Brute, joing the 6gc.net clan!**

The starter relay has a splice that connects to the ECU.
Whenever you try to start the car you send battery voltage to the starter through the starter relay. This means you also send battery voltage to the ECU on the STA input wire. If you're getting that code and the engine starting either that splice, the wire off the splice, the connection to the ECU or the ECU is bad. -------------------- |
