I was lookin at the members rides and a bunch of people were under gts. I've seen a bunch of different models and even weird australian ones but what in the world is the gts model.

It's a Canadian model that's powered by the 5S-FE engine. I believe it has quite a few standard options, but I'm not sure on that.

gts (canada) = USA GT
gt (canada) = USA ST Those are the canadian memebers of our awesome car club |

Actually, I gotta differ on that that.
In Canada the following : GTS = United States' GT Hatchback except loaded, with moon roof, alloys, airbags, and a sport suspension (I have the GTS brocuhure, it's a sticker package) GT = United States' GT Coupe or GT Hatchback, mind you after 1996 only the hatchback was available in Canada. ST = ST Same deal with the motor options. All GT/GTS' came with 5S-FE's, ST's with that 7A-FE or whatever |

I discovered a Canadian Toyota website that had the 6th gen brochure online, which mentioned the GT and GT-S, but made no reference to the ST. Unfortunately, the page went down about 4 months ago. I still have the URL at home... too bad that it's a dead link now. |
