Well ok, after all day of driving around yesterday I went out today (this afternoon) to start my car and it didn't start. It cranks and cranks and cranks but nothing happens. I am going to have someone come out with me to check and see if the pump is turning on. After that should I just check for spark? Is there anything else I should check?

QUOTE(massbrandon @ Mar 5, 2008 - 6:26 PM) Well ok, after all day of driving around yesterday I went out today (this afternoon) to start my car and it didn't start. It cranks and cranks and cranks but nothing happens. I am going to have someone come out with me to check and see if the pump is turning on. After that should I just check for spark? Is there anything else I should check? i would start by removing your air intake from your throttle body to ensure that your getting air (unless your turbo'd) push all your spark wire tubes in; to ensure they're all connected sound. hit your accelerator a few times to force gas into the motor and try starting again. If it even to turns just a little bit, then it's getting spark; if there is nothing restricting the air, then it is fuel. Before you go out and buy a new pump, remember to try changing the filter first. Those things Can clog up... For it to die AFTER you parked it, leads me to doubt it was the fuel pump. A pump will go out on you while driving down the road... but it'll go out while sitting too. Some times those things dont give any warning... *EDIT* x2 check your dist. Cap also, there are 2 screws holding it on. Make sure it's not loose. Make sure the wires are sound into the cap as well. checking your fuel pump you could even unplug the return line and see if the pump is working that way. um spark, dead coil? fuse? spark air and gas is all you need so your on the right track.

Just a little heads up. I think I figured out what happened with my car. I did like the can of sea foam said and added it after putting half a tank of gas in. I drove around all day and ended up getting to around 1/8 of a tank. After the sea foam finished cleaning everything all of the gunk and other crap settled in my tank. When I finally got the car started, I could hear some stuff come out of my exhaust when she fired up. Do you guys think I should replace my fuel filter after this?

Will either of these two scenarios you two have mentioned cause my car to run rough or anything? Because now my car runs great. It actually runs better than it did before. After this happened I ran a full tank of premium through my system and not the car is running great.
