yeah, i'm a new Member but i've been in several thread closings already, and NEW OR NOT it's still frustrating. I dont like people to treat me or any others like that because someone wants to be a duffus. Yeah, like that other comment on page one "lolwrawsal" or whatever he was typing, Yes, that was stupid and uncalled for.

Not making fun of anyone, but that was a prime example of the dumb things that people say, then our much needed threads get closed.

Sorry - gotta disagree with that. We have said some VERY stupid and immature things that got overlooked. I personally would have warned myself and the rest of us over that stuff.

Batman - I was expressing what other sites allow and why other people don't understand why they can't talk about whatever they feel like in OT.

btw, if you or anyone else for that matter doesn't understand why a thread has been closed, maybe try asking? I will say that the moderators are open to PMs if you are asking an honest question and sincerely seeking clarification.

i think someone should start their own celica site and post there. or go to planetboredom and post funny stuff, and leave the helpful technical info on here

i for one am happy with how this is run. the hid guy seems a bit shady, and the bumping is annoying. cant complain about that being closed. especially since he started selling the day he joined.

imo more threads need to be closed/let die off

I am sure if u meet Manny ur gonna have a change of opinion...ask Manny himself we didnt get off on the right foot in the beginning his first words to me were your gonna blow your engine...I was like sure w/e and then guess what happen my engine blew...(this was an old car has nothing to do with any of the 6th gens) After I got to see the real Manny at a meet It took me no longer then 2 seconds to fall in love bc he is just an awesome person and you all have the wrong idea.

i'll agree with both sides here....everyone sticking up for the mods knows them personaly or at least has some connection with them...so of course your not gonna bad mouth them on here even if they do do something you dont like...but for the people who dont know them personaly like myself....which i see myself running into pressure2 (manny) very soon...they think hes a jerk off for closing threads like the HID one and the others....i think that the threads should not be closed at all...there is helpful information on almost every thread you click on on this site...for the smartasses that make stupid coments...then just delete their comment, thats all....just because you know eric personaly doesnt mean you should be able to just close his thread caus you dont feel its a FS thread..i mean who cares? i had the same exact thread and mine didnt get closed....anyway the point im trying to make is that the mods.....which pressure seems to be the only active one on here...post a lot of helpful information and give a lot back to the 6GC community....but closing threads caus you PERSONALY and no other reason think that they are pointless is just redicilous.....end of story

these 5 pages worth of bickering has NOTHING to do with what mods do to help you out off the site. nobody is bashing the mods personally.. this conversation has nothing to do with that.... i suggest you read from page 1 to fully understand what is going on here, and im not taking sides as well. Most of the threads in the OT section do deserve to get closed, like the "How did u get out of a ticket" garbage. HOWEVER there are many instances where threads get shut down just cuz 2 people are "debating" or arguing to make their points. Rather than tell them to calm down and edit the posts, they just make slick comments and just close down the thread. Many threads do deserve to get shut down without warning (the pointless cr*p), however many do not deserve to get shut down. That is the point. Nobody is bashing people here. NOT ONE. So read from page 1 before you make such comments.

I read every page don't worry...Just by the title it looks to me as if its a bash on the mods. I completely understand what everyone is talking about on the other hand I don't think you understand what I am saying..Presure2 posted a sticky about reporting post all I am saying is maybe ppl are actually following the rules and using it thus in return getting results. gee there you go, i thought this was a family oriented community. ok lets say your the parents, and we're the kids, you get mad at us and do unfair things such as saying you cant stay awake past 9 on a school day. of course some of us might obey that, maybe thats ok with younger kids, and thats like the rule, the rules havent been updated in years, so now the kids are teenagers in high school and the bedtime is still 9, and then they just so happen to stay awake past 9 and you yell at them and ground them, do you expect them to just say "yes sir" and go to bed? no. i think they would have argued and show how unreasonable that is for their age, they need to stay up longer since of homework and such, and by that the rules for the teen will be changed if the parent understands. having a family is all about teamwork and understanding, it cant be just one way, you need to argue against the opposing if you feel it is being runned unfairly such i am right now. yet you want to go the simple way and say to find another site, you wont even admit your faults i see you as being hardheaded

okay, i agree that some moderators do tend to close threads with a SmartAss remark included. Like he/she's trying to get the last laugh, and you just gotta take it or have your account deleted.

Yeah; this is a privately owned forum, but if your going to moderate, then you need to do it right. If you say this is a place to be a professional, then you need to moderate like one.
