Official East Coast Meet [UPDATES ON PG 8!], June 27-29: Virginia Beach, VA Options

Jasper (jdg371) and I have sat down and figured out almost every detail to this meet.

It will be from Friday June 27th, to Sunday the 29th in Virginia Beach, VA. There will be a variety of activities planned.
- BBQ
- Relays
- Kickball
- Flag football
- Go karts

I am in the process of getting a group rate at a hotel, but I would need to know exactly how many people plan on coming. I estimated at least 20. I'm hoping that there will be more.

Hotel + BBQ + additional park fees will be determined and paid for in full before the meet (a set rate).

I will be setting up an individual checking account, so that all payments will be made with a Visa and will make it easier. Once all fees are determined, I will post a paypal account to send money to.

Good Day! This is a reminder for the members who are planning on entering the East Coast Meet in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We ARE sending out a PM to everyone who has enganged interest in the Meet. I hope to see YOU there.



WE would like to get a confirmation for the members who will need a Hotel room. We are gauging interest to gain the best rates for everyone. Please REPLY ASAP TO THIS PM if you will need a room and how many will accompanying you as well.

Full Contact would be fun if grew up liking football LOL. Im sure we can accomodate some action in there.

That's possible, I can make one. BIG. I just need to know what kind of wind speed the kite will be expose to determine what rope size we need.

Ill be in...With me there will be 2 different celicas and we will need 2 rooms. Everything sounds fun I love football but again being a girl I might die...jk..Its funny today at work I said I think I wanna take up flying kites as a hobbie as a joke and now im here reading about it...pretty funny. Stevenson will we meet up and go together? If so would we leave thursday or friday..Just for getting off work purposes I will have to give notice. Sounds pretty sweet!

This is gonna be the most expensive meet ever ( at least for me ) my GF will have to fly from DR just for the meet.

That would be awesome to have the Upper State 6GCs come down at the same time. Please add +# If you have people coming with you. This should help with keeping count on how many are coming and how many rooms will be needed to accomodate the group.

QUESTION: Would you be comfortable with 4 people to a room, or would you like it only 3 or 2? Just for note, the more people to a room, the cheaper it will be.

If there is 20 people, at least.. and 4 people to a room (room with 2 queen size beds), it will be $27/person.
