Well it all depends on how tall you are too. You wont be considered small, unless you are tall and lanky. I know a guy who is 6'2", but weighs 150 lbs. But you are well below 3K. I always thought the GT's weigh around 3K.

Sounds right - my previous GT Hatch weighed 2700lbs roughly with me [175lbs at the time] full interior, spare and a full tank of gas.

According to my registration papers, GT's are about 2600 lbs while my camry is 2400 lbs. Weird - that hatch glass or the hatch all together is so heavy.

that hatch does make up a god part of the number. maybe do a hatch delete to lighten the load haha. or make lotus exige style hatch out of fiberglass
that would be a sight to see on a celica This post has been edited by Tigawoods: Mar 14, 2008 - 10:34 PM -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

i think the rear windshield adds a lot of weight. which is why coupes are the lightest trim. i dunno about that lotus hatch. kinda too flashy for me. i'd get a cf hatch, plus change the rear window to plexiglass to get the most out of it. gonna be pricey though.

Thank you, the whole hatch including the glass makes up the difference between the coupes. The glass is bigger than the coupe. This is what I mean. when i first joined people said our cars were real heavy.
mine is on the subway diet. i thought of dropping more pounds by getting a CF trunk and hood and painting them (not a fan of the cf) and the extreme would be to gut out the car and remove the passenger seat -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

yessir. power everyting. except folding mirrors. is this while u had the 5sfte?i thought the 3 brace bars in the back would make up for the lost weight.

removing the crash bar behind the rear bumper would help you loose a good few kg, i was surprised at how heavy it was when i was breaking my last Celica.
Just hope you don't get rear ended if you remove it though lol Kev -------------------- |
