drove through a MONSTER pothole on Monday and knocked something loose on the BMW's suspension. clunking and knocking coming from 2 corners. think it's a ball-joint, a tie rod end or some linkage. have to make it a priority. frown.gif .

actually saw the boxes with the struts and springs in the shop floor when i went to make an appointment with Martin, my new mech/tech. hope the bimmer doesn't drain my wallet so i can get the work done soon in the Celica.

peace.

man, that sucks ray. I know from experience, if tis ball joints and such, its not gonna b cheap to replace. I had to replace ball joints on my roomates 328IS, they were about $120 a peice.

Hopefully you'll have the celica going for the meet in august.

thanks for the reply. it wasn't as bad as i thought. brought it to Martin (mech/tech) after the show yesterday and he had a chance to work on it. it was a bad (worn) front sway bar end link. 99$ for the pair and 1.2 hours labour. total cost < 200$. i have to make an appointment for the installation of the struts and springs. i hope to get it in thursday weather permitting, since i have the old half-bald Fate-Os on the original wheels. severly allergic to snow/ice. as far as the august meet...try and keep me away!! negociations are going good with the household administrative body so it's a 70/30 proposition at this time. i hate winter <--- needed to say that yet again.

you must be the most optimistic canadian ever. thumbsup.gif !!!! after getting the crap kicked outta you this winter by Jack Frost you can actually say 2 more weeks?!?!?!? ...bartender, i'll have what he's having but make mine a double laugh.gif .

anyway thanks for the encouraging words. i think i may just go ahead and bring the car to my mech/tech tomorrow come hell or high water and get the suspension work done. i'll have to wait to put the pretty wheels on it, though. i don't want them to go anywhere near roadsalt. lows -4°C with a high of +4°C. if he can squeeze me in...

Hehe, no probz.
I've seen a lot of my buddies getting into crashes and totalling their cars, even one of my friends with a 6gc totalled it by a deer...sucks...but oh well.
And c'mon man, only 2 more weeks!!! hahaah I'm just slowly starting to do mods to my car again, I spent all winter saving and purchasing all my parts so my brother's room (because he moved out) looks like a little warehouse for my parts. Recently took off my yellow dash trim and back to black, and installed my trd wing but not yet painted. I'll be doin the headers soon...
And bartender doesn't serve what i'm drinkin'---my own recipe. biggrin.gif

Happy early birthday man! Any presents for your car for ur bday wink.gif?
Also although it's officially spring--it's still cold out. That's why I said 2 more weeks because in approx 2 weeks the temp's should finally start rising to be able to drive with the windows down and install all my mods! YEEE!

thanks for the b'day wishes _mikeE. all my natal day swag is Celica related...i sorta collected it in the last few months. springs, struts, wheels, tires, a few odds 'n ends like emblems, etc... yeah now all we need is the weather.
