Bought my celica last weekend for 3300$. its a red 1996 toyota celica GT. Auto(unfortunately),Leather, with 139,000 mi. changed the plugs, and wires today. my impression of the celica.... its wonderful.. but kinda slow for my liking. maybe thats just cause of the ridiculous AUTO. didn't know where else to take some pictures.. so i took them at the school.
here are some pic's. http://6gc.net/photo/member/5651/1 http://6gc.net/photo/member/5651/2 http://6gc.net/photo/member/5651/3 http://6gc.net/photo/member/5651/4 Thanks let me know how you think i did! Erich |

Very nice and clean. So was I right with the wires on the distributor? I'm really jealous. You paid looks like under blue book for that beauty.

you were correct... in a way. you just had 1 and 2 reversed.
but your response helped me find the correct way. made me feel like a dumbass. the distributor is numbered. i should have checked. but i was working on it with very little light last night. im glad i got the car for cheap. everything is in great shape. and the lady i bought it from was real nice. she let me do payments since oct. im not making much so it was difficult to save up extra money living on my own and what not. anyway. its great to finally own one. love it so far. Nice ride dude! Don't worry about the whole auto vs manual thing...you still have a cool car. And many of us on here had to buy sideskirts, fog lights, and leather seats separately. Plus you have the preferred bumper style. Good luck with her and not bad mileage!

thanks for all the replies everyone.
lets see....plans for the celica.... I would like to do a GT-Four conversion on it. i haven't been on these forums as much as i used to. I own a 99 ford mustang v6 5 spd too.. so im a member of www.mustangforums.com as well. i need to brush up on my celica knowledge now. my girlfriend will be driving this car till she can afford a newer car.I would like to convert to manual, repaint it, do a total gt-four conversion. engine and all. right now i need a left fog light housing, headliner rear retainer clips, hatch shelf, trunk are retainer clips, power antenna motor, or shorty antenna conversion, rear strut/shock, rear brakes thats about all i need. I would LIKE.... projector or HID headlights, Tint/Alarm(with keyless entry), sound system, lowering springs?(eibach are great for stangs, but what about celica's?), performance shocks, better looking rims.(still have some looking to do with those.)drilled and slotted rotors, performance calipers/pads. Thats it for now. i have some time for this one.... Thanks! Erich. |
