The time has come for me and the Celica to part ways. It just can't handle the amount of snow I have to deal with on a daily basis in the winter.

Asking $2300, which I consider fair considering the work put into it in the past year (kbb is 2580 for Fair, 3115 for Good; edmunds had 2010 for base price and 1100 or so for Average...I don't think that's reasonable). If I have to resort to craigslist/ebay/etc. I'll be listing it for $2500...

1994 Black Toyota Celica GT Liftback
5 spd transmission
202K miles

Recent Work:
Starter and Battery replaced at 200K
Head gasket/oil pump/intake camshaft replaced at 196K (mechanic who did the job inspected everything else that was visible at the time: dist, timing belt, etc)
CV joints replaced/brake rotors machined at 193K
Rear KYB struts installed at 191K
Right rear brake caliper replaced at 188K
New exhaust at 188K
Both front and rear brake pads have less than 10K on them, the fronts about 2K
Using synthetic blend 10W-30 since the head gasket/pump replacement

Interior:
Alpine Head unit
Pioneer Speakers
Harmon-Kardon iPod hook-up
Blue/silver painted trim
alarm/keyless entry system
Blue/Green Indiglo gauges (and all sorts of other bling mods that the previous owner installed and I've been too lazy to return to OEM)
Sewn on seat covers

Exterior:
Black paint (minor rust around seams)
Tinted windows
Red brake calipers
Two sets of wheels (if interested): Summer tires wrapped around lighter alloy rims; All-seasons wrapped around original alloys
JDM lows, clear turns and sidemarkers in front, OEM back

Known issues/problems/shortcomings:
The previous owner used an interesting combination of electrical tape and zip-ties to secure the front bumper on, as well as some of the under-plastics. Both doors and the liftgate have some rust along the lower edges, and the right rear wheel well has some rust along the outside of it. The parking brake has never worked (I'm tired of screwing around with the adjustment bolt inside the rotor assembly, and the cable probably needs tightening as well).

The good:
I've never had any problems with the engine itself not working (the oil leak which caused the head gasket/inspection work ended up being the oil pump), it pulls hard and feels like a car half her age. Like I said, I need a different vehicle to get me around in the winter, otherwise I'd hang on to it. I took a highway trip last week, got 28 mpg split between cruising at 65 and 75mph, and I had my bike mounted on top. The worst mpg I've ever gotten was a week I got stuck in my driveway three separate times, and spent the rest driving in the city, which gave me about 21mpg (with a ski box on top). Bottom line, the appearance may be slightly less than pristine, but the internals work EXCELLENT!

I'd be willing to drive it as far as MPLS/St. Paul or Milwaukee, or anywhere in Wisconsin or the Upper Peninsula. Also looking for a 4x4 SUV or truck (manual, <120K miles), so if you'd be interested in a trade, so would I...I'd also drive farther if I knew my next vehicle was waiting for me when I handed off the keys to my Celi.

Pictures of it are in my profile, and photos of specific items available on request.

Put the car up on craigslist bump! Come on everyone, make an offer!

EDIT:

Additionally, if there is any interest from people in the Milwaukee area either on 6gc or thru craigslist, I'd be willing to drive the car down to Milwaukee this weekend. If that is the case, it will stay in WI. On the other hand, if anyone in the Twin Cities area is interested, I could also be convinced to drive there for the weekend, but only on the condition I leave the Cities on Monday without the Celica (the next trip it takes from Houghton, MI, will be it's last!!).

Any reasonable offers won't be ignored!!!!

I'm not too keen on a motorcycle, seeing as I'm selling my celica to buy a more winter-worthy vehicle. Trades for a Truck or SUV or buying it outright!!

Thursday morning bump!!!
