going down a main road and some kid pulled out infront of me due to high snow piles which blocked his view. all i know is its not my fault imma get some money and ill c from their if im gonna get another 6gc. time will tell

That sucks...
Did you have an auto or manuel transmision? Because i need to do a manuel swap... Seeing as you wont be needing it anymore... Is the insurance going to buy you a new 6g? The only comfort that you can have now, is that you get to make a new Celi-Friend.  Still sucks though, looks like my old cougar... Plus it happened so fast but i remember it all so good picture frame by picture frame of how it all happened under 5 seconds. and if i didnt wear my seatbelt one of the ladies at the hospital said i would of been another teen statistic.

Yeah it's crazy how when your in an accident, everything goes into "Matrix" mode, where it all slows down, and the word "Sh!t" last for like 3 minitues...

damn....sorry to hear that bro....your best bet would be to let the insurance handle it...they will give you whatever the car is worth...then if you want you can buy it back off of them for a couple hundred and if i was in your position i would buy it back...part it out....and get whatever they give you for the car + part out money+ if you decide to sue take that money as well and go out and get another 6th gen twice as nice....i know it sucks and its a long process but sometimes people come out of it with more then what the car was worth and turn around and get even a nicer car....good luck...hope everything works out...if you decide to part out though man i will def. buy some stuff off of you

yeah seriously guys wear ur seatbelts all the time. its what saved me this time and im really glad that i have a habit of using my seatbelt a little too much. ha

I know how you feel, I totalled my celica about two years ago. It was a good car and gave up its life to save me (I had no injuries), but I was sad to see it go. So just do what I did and get another one
. My first one was great, and I learned so much from this site, so why not get another one!

I know how you feel. My integra was totalled almost a month ago now (I'm still fighting with the insurance companies and waiting to get my new 94 celica gt). I was just cruising along the main road and a civic pulls out right in front me from the right (he was taking a left turn and said he couldn't see me coming behind a parked car) and there wasn't any time for me to really do anything so I slammed right into him. I was going about the same speed you were.
I'm glad I wasn't hurt and now I'm working on getting my first celica, so I guess it's just a new opportunity, right? Here's some pics of the damage (not as bad as yours was, but still pretty bad):   |
