Ok i know this was probaly covered b4, i searched and still cant really find what i want. Anyway, i want my exhaust to be LOUD. but i dont want it to sound like a weedwacker. i was a deep aggressive pud sound. I was think about a header but im not sure what PA emissions are. anything i can do with the pipes? right now i have a muffler tip. i love the sound of it but i just want it louder

actually, the tip doesn´t do **** to sound, its purely visual. Talking about headers, the 3S-GE has a steel-heades in stock, I guess its different in states versions?
~2,25" piping with a good sporting muffler should do the trick for you. -------------------- |

If you want inspection ticket loud you could run open headers but it'll probably not be that deep of an exaust tone and you'll have no backpressure.

Get an engine with more cylinders. All 4 cylinders pretty much sound the same...

Fork out the money for a Borla muffler. They are the deepest I've heard on a 4-banger.

i have a the JDM greddy SP1 and it is pretty quiet. if you want to be real loud just do straight pipes....but u wont pass PA emissions. if you run headers, with a catback exhaust, and buy a test pipe that'll be pretty loud, then come emissions time, throw the cat back on there. PA is real lazy with their emissions test. you'll pass
and i agree with everyone else 2.25 dia. is good enough This post has been edited by Tigawoods: Mar 23, 2008 - 10:01 PM -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |
