Can you keep the car alive by giving it gas? I had similiarish problem with my car before. When I started it cold, I had to give it gas so that it wouldn't die on me. I later gave it a tune-up and found out my IAC was sticky due to gunk buildup.

Test the spark plugs and see if they spark, each one. If it does not then maybe your coil. However, if this does not help, try borrowing a computer box from someone and test. I've seen this happening more often.

I'm having the same trouble. What's an IAC? I tried some "Sea Foam" in the gas tank and the problem went away for a week or so, but it's doing it again.
