Hey there. I have a 94 ST and of course want more power. I am looking to either swap in a 4AGZE or just get the supercharged heads and pistons and put them on my 7A. Also considering just buying a SC or turbo kit. Doesnt seem like there are many people doing much with 6th gen Celicas, at least that I can find. It all seems to be 2000+ Any idea what the least expensive route to go would be? Thanks

check the stickies for all the info you need about engine swaps. the majority of people swap in the 3s-gte engine, its a great engine and all you need to do is make a few custom brackets/mounts (for the most part) to swap it in the ST

is this car your only car ? if so, just take good care of it until you get a daily driver.

Really? I heard you need alot more including new AC/Power lines, a new tranny, ECU plus other harnesses and wires that are very hard to find uncut on a complete engine. Basically sounded like more trouble (and money) then its worth.

haha yea i guess i was a tad vague on that. sorry man, alot of people don't bother running the ac or power steering .but ask someone that has swapped in an ST, its a little more work than the GT so that sucks.

Its all good. The more I look around the more I wonder if I should just sell this thing and get a 5.0 Mustang or something. Twice the power right off the bat. I wanted a project car, but this sounds like it will be alot more of a project then I thought haha Seems like no one sells any aftermarket or FI kits for 6th gen Celicas let alone STs

Thats cool. I am not looking for a 12 second ride, I just want some more power. I'd be happy with 140-150 to the wheels

ok well ur shooting to high then ,a 3sgte will give u like 250hp,if u turbo charge u will hit 160whp easily,no need for new pistons(unless the engine needs it)

Since you said that the celica was a project car, its worth it to do the 3sgte route. Why get a mustang. Yes you get twice the power, but its also heavy. If your shooting for a fun ride that can handle well, I say stick with the Celi.

Yea, I was thinking turbo or supercharging the stock engine. Know where to get kits around here?

just buy ur parts separately its really not that hard right now, there is a guy in the FS section with a hell of a deal,a turbo and intercooler for like 300$,and joker is selling a manifold, all u would need is IC piping,BOV,and exhaust
