I have a 94 Celica ST auto coupe super white with 101K on it and racking up about 300 miles a week... I am thinking about customizing it but when I looked over this site there is not a whole lot I can do to it to make the car better overall (performance, looks, and overall enjoyment...). So should I keep this car or should I try and get one of these cars...:
- Pontiac Firebird base - Firebird Formula - Firebird Trans Am WS6 ram air package - Camaro Base - Camaro z28 - Camaro SS Why did I choose those car... because I want a car that is fast and fun to drive... I want the power and looks of a VETTE! and the Celica ST auto base can't give me that and neither can the celica st auto customized. So what do yal think...? |

My dad had a V6 Camaro in 95'...he got the smaller engine cuz he commuted alot, and then he kicked himself in the ass cuz its not that fast. Vette power is exactly that, VETTE power, not F/B and Camaro.
Theres a reason they stopped production. -------------------- |

That is why I also label the V8s down too, because a few of my friends and all have made their cars have more power than a vette without having to change rods and pistons etc... so Which of these cars should I get or should I keep my Celica ST auto... |

How can you say that there's not a lot to make the car better overall? To turn your car into a Camaro/Firebird killer, there's the 3S-GTE swap. To make it look better than the cars listed, you can keep it stock. To make it look even better, there are lots of kits available for the car, though I'll admit, most of the best ones are from Japan and are very hard to get and very expensive. To make overall enjoyment better, there is so much to do with the car. Suspension, engine, exterior, interior, audio, etc.
Maybe you're just under-estimating the options for the sixth generation Celica. If I were you, I'd definitely keep your car...reliability is better, it's more unique, it looks better in my opinion, etc. But that's just me. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I have over 10 friends with camaros and every single one of them hate it. They love it for a week, realize its Sh!tty and then beat the living hell out of it. The only person I know who has a camaro and likes it is my mechanic, and he has 5 67-69 camaro ss's each pushing about 500hp. If your not gonna get a trans am (loaded, or a vette, I wouldnt go american. Although there is that new ford mustang with 500hp and a supercharger, or you can get the good ole' ford GT for 100k.

So how would I make my Celica ST auto 94 into a camaro or firebird killer withOUT the engine swap... I don't want to swap the engine until the car has been taken beyond repair (like engine lock up or something)... Well...

the only way an auto ST without the swap could beat a camaro or firebird would be if they were parked there are plenty of aftermarket parts out there to make an st faster....and there's always the option of a turbo....but if you truly want to beat those cars (that you obviously like over the celica) you will need to do some type of engine swap 3sgte is the best option to make it a "domestic muscle killer" |

Read the thread I made about turboing a 4agze. For well under five grand, you could have an engine that would run easy 13's to low 12's. In other words, you could twist off your drive shafts if you wanted to.
Plus, if you sold your car, you'd still have to pour in about five grand to get a camaro\firebird. Why not have a beast of a sleeper??? Jon |

If you're not happy with the ST auto and you don't want to put $5000-10000 into it, I suggest you sell it and buy a the 3s-ge or even better still get a GT4 or Supra

Maybe those ideals would work... honestly fira... I would not listen to these stupid people because they couldn't even help me with my security lock mechanism for the trunk of my car... and they didn't know that toyota put ECT dual mode auto into all celicas from 94-99, so take what you hear them say on a wing and a prayer... I personally will and hopefully soon be getting a Firebird Trans Am ram air equipped car soon... So if I where you I goto LS1.com and see what they have to say about these crappy tail imports.

People that think imports are crappy are obviously stupid people. Imagine where this world would be with out imports. We would all be driving 454 big blocks and sucking down gas like it was water. Japanese technology has greatly advanced where we are in the automobile world today. Don't trash imports.

you do have a point ANDASON but I was in her shoes when I was 16 and 17 and she just don't realizes it... I have choice to keep my Celica ST auto Super White Coupe and I will probably do a few inexpensive mods first and then go all out and get a kit and all then I may do an engine swap if the car is still around... |

ok if you have to question if you should get another car especially if you are looking into domestics then i suggest you go for a domestic! and plus you should really look into what a celica can do..especially with a engine swap!

It seems ever since you came into these threads, you've had nothing but malice against celicas, and imports in general. I ask you this: if you hate them so much, just what led you to get one? Also, if you just want to bash 6gc's, do it on your ls1 threads where we don't have to read the Bs. And to the guy that started this thread... My first car was a Corvette. It was a POS. Granted, a pos that would run 13's, but a pos all the same. I put so much money into the car, it wasn't even funny. If you want to go that rout, good for you. BUT, as my last question: Would you rather have a firebird\camaro\vette, or This.... Keep in mind, that car is a bone stock (on the outside other than rims) GT-4. I know which one I'd rather have. But it's your option. Jon |

GET LOST you ignorant dumbass! You obviously have no respect for this community. I think people here honestly try to help each other out, to the best of their knowledge on various topics. Some topics are very new or obscure. If you are not comfortable with the answers you get here from one person or another, you can always go with a majority or get in touch with a person individually. And what is a "crappy tail import"? |
