well, the s2k is a sick car. gotta love that high rev wink.gif however, i agree with you. i see too many s2ks, evos, rx7s and etc around and the only time i actually double take is when they look as stock as possible with maybe, MAYBE better rollers. the evos with ARC on everything from their intercooler to engine bling is commonplace. i like the cars that make you wonder 'what does that guy have under that hood?'

well, with one less car, you can focus on the celi a lot more smile.gif

I like the Celica, but I'm putting way too much money into it. I need to stop after next month. Then I'm done for awhile.

haha it's cool. This seems to me, to be more of a hang out and chill meet rather than a Celica meet. So it doesn't matter too much. You can bring as many people as you would like smile.gif.

Yeah, I won't be driving my Celi down this time (put 8000 miles on her in the past 3 months...4 trips up and down CA...ha!). So I'm just looking to kick it with my 6GC hommies biggrin.gif

Alright! It will be nice to see you there! Wow 8,000 miles is a lot :x.

Hey Marco, the meet that was originally on the 26th is completely cancled and not resheduled. The admin of that forum decided that he no longer has time to update the site and will be shutting it down sooner or later. So we will have to find something else to do, such as turbo charging as we discussed smile.gif.

Just out of curiosity, where exactly is Marco's house? I'm new to the forums, but if there is a cali meet I would love to try and go. I figure since it's a SoCal meet I will be able to go. =)

I looked up Scandia and found three in Cali, I am assuming its not the one in Sacramento. Lol.

I dunno about commuting for meets though. My car has got a ****load of miles on it as it is. So until I swap, I won't be able to travel too far for meets.

I am glad to know that there are quite a few so cal people here on the forums. Because I am going to need lots of help. Haha. =)

Edit**

I found Marco, and now that I know the general area he lives in, I am pretty much down to go. I drive to that area all the time.

So, you can add me to the list.

Hey Marco, you got experience with Bondo, right? I might be asking you for some pointers this Saturday...I'm putting on a spoiler and need to fabricate a shim.

Wow first post and it's in the meet section smile.gif. Glad you could attend last minute. So you have a 5-speed 95 GT hatchback in black huh? I heard you say something about a swap? I see you've been doing some research smile.gif. How many miles do you got on your engine right now? It must be a lot for you to start worrying about it haha. Mine should be at 100,000 on the day of the meet. Right now I'm at 99,890. Ok well anyways, I will see you in a few days smile.gif.

I haven't been researching as much as I should. The first thing I did was walk into Super Autobacs and say, "I have never worked on a car before. I want to learn. I have a Celica. What should I do?" They told me to slap a turbo on it, until I told them that my car was pushing 170k miles. Then they said I was going to have to swap it out. After doing the little research I have done, I feel like that would be better anyhow. Right now they are doing some research for me to try and find something suitable for what I want for me car.

I don't have anything set in stone, so I have plenty of time to brainstorm still. I am hoping to get some good ideas from everyone at the meet.

Not to mention, at the momment I owe quite a bit of money. So I won't be able to pay for any of what I want to do for a couple months. But if I have a plan and know exactly what I want to do, things will go smooth and fast and I will have my car done quick. Hopefully it'll ride quick too.

I am going to be bringing a friend. She loves cars, but is knewer to actually working on them than I am. It'll be a good learning experience for the both of us.

Can't wait to meet you all and such. =)

Oh great smile.gif. I'm surprised that SuperAutobac's even knew what a Gen 6 was laugh.gif . But anyways, you most likely have contacted Marco already, so that's good smile.gif. If you ever need anything just go ahead and PM me. My name is Derrick and I am the official SoCal Celica meet organizer and advisor biggrin.gif .

Just kidding smile.gif . Meet is still 100% going on smile.gif . I just smog tested my car and it failed again hahaha. My car is total weaksauce frown.gif .
