Hi, my passenger side front brake is always staying closed, after the first couple of times i brake, i can smell the brake on that side burning up and it makes my car wobble around, could this be the cause of a bad caliper, iw as gonna replace it tommorow, but brake pads are almost new, and rotor looks fine, just very hot and tired, can anyone help me out thanks

Do you mean the caliper won't retract? the caliper is stuck? check the pistons etc....

yeah failing piston will do that. or something is stuck like a rock or something.

Most likely either the caliper piston is frozen [caliper] or the slide pins are frozen [caliper bracket].
Depending where you go to buy a caliper you might get just the caliper or you might get both. Usually both, just make sure before you buy it.

Also, there is a slim chance something in the line or proportioning valve is causing this. 95^% of the time it's the caliper or bracket though.
