alright guys, its me again with yet another question. im pretty much ready to get the motor out of my car, but the shifter cables that hook up to the transmission brought me to a skreeching hault. i got the actual ends of the cables off, those are really simple. but where the cables are mounted on the tranny itself, i dont know what to do. anyone got any hints, or can tell me what to do.

I had a lot of trouble with these as well. Mine were basically fused to the metal plate. I ended up hammering a putty knife between the clip and the plate to break them free a bit, then used a prybar to get the started. Hook the tip under the c-clip's 'legs' and pry up.
