Ok, right now I have a stock 1997 GT Celica. I am wondering what I can do for my first upgrades. What can I do with the Stock Engine to get the best bang for my buck. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks guys!

i need to save this some where and just continue to copy paste it
1A) Driving school (take a track day or something and learn how to drive) 1) lowering (either via springs+shocks, or complete coilovers) 2) Rear strut tower brace 3) quality brakes (slotted rotors + good pads + SS brake lines + fresh fluid) 4) quality tires (consider 16" or 17" wheels maybe in addition) 5) Sway bars the next are motor related 6) Replace your coolant (Distilled water, REDLINE water wetter, prestone coolant) 7) change your oil + filter 7) K&N drop in Panel Air filter (Remove resonator boxes inside driver fender) 8) Ebay header 10) 2" header back exhaust most of this is pretty good on the budget and make your car more enjoyable to drive.. |

Well thanks. Well I have the 17" with the low pro tires. So now I guess it is on to the K&N air filter and Oil filter. What header would you suggest? |

I have an Injen short ram air intake and filter with an Aeroturbine performance exhaust muffler. I plan on the ebay header myself once I complete my future build but for now the exhaust and intake are awesome (more fun to drive than power gains) and sound powerful too...not tinny like a civic...haha.
Also, maybe buy an A/F control unit and tune after the header, exhaust, and intake setup to get the best out of the upgrades. |

my friend took the driving course, I think he had to drop something like 1500 for it though. Is there a cheaper alternative?
