I took my car to one of those do it yourself washers. There they had this engine cleaner stuff. It said spray it on for 2 min and then use the high pressure hose to wash it off. I had let the car sit for about 10 min, but i guess not long enoguh for the engine to really cool, but once i put the money in I had to rush cuz i only had 10 min (which was bull**** because the sign said $5 for 20 min and I only got 10) anyway yea the engine and turbo must have been really hot becasue this stuff was just vaporizing, but i eventually got a good layer down and went on washin other parts of the car before comming back and hosing it all off. I then washed the rest of the car (had to put in 5 more dollars for another 10 min!). Then I saw an attendent complained about the false advertisement and he basically gave me some bs and told me to try it again, but I told him I already lost 10 dollars and he basically said "sorry dude." So now I'm pissed and totally forgot to dry off the car and engine, but It had been sitting there for a little bit while i argued. Anyway, the car starts up a little slow, but starts up and I think everything is fine till I hit the road. I notice that my car isn't getting any boost pressure and having trouble going over 3k rpm. I think maybe I knocked a hose loose becasue this is exactly how it acted when I knocked an intercooler pipe loose. Anyway when I get home I can't find anythin and I have my neighbor look while i rev the engine and he swears he heard a knocking sound comming from my turbo, but I don't really believe him because I don't see how any of this could cause any shaft play and I think he was jsut hearing the shaking of the exhaust (the motor stars to shake terrible when i try to get it over 3k) But yeah dpes anyone know what the problem might be? Oh and to top it off my apartment complex decided to cut the grass this morning (not sure why because most of it is dead) and yea now my car is covered with grass and then it rained a bit later this afternoon. So basically I payed 12 dollars to mess up my car. I just hope its not that bad.

There is no way for us to help you over the internet if you don't include pics - even then kindasad.gif
Have you taken your distributer cap loose and cleaned out the moisture you probably introduced in there? This is the most common thing that happens to an engine after HP washing and will cause the exact symptoms you describe..
There really is no substitute for elbow grease when it comes to under hood cleaning.

Yeah - that's what I say too. This happens to women at the car wash all the time - I'll usually take the time to help them out [if they are female - if men I just chuckle and drive off sputter free biggrin.gif ]

Let it dry and wash your car right next time.
