Yeah man.. Im interested, PM me of the price or give me a call. Im not really looking for an upgrade but I need to change my brake pads before the Sherbrooke meet, but if the price is right then I'll take the KVR's.

be careful what you choose. i bought Bendix lifetime ceramic pads in May 2005 and they squealed for almost 3 years before they "settled in". the shop where i had them installed gave me the run-around and said i had to deal with the manufacturer, when i contacted them they said they just need to settle in. i asked how long and they said :"when they stop squealing." after cross-sanding the rotors and roughing up the pads 3 or more times they still squealed. people were staring at the car...but for all the wrong reasons. anyway it finally is no longer making that awful noise but hhre is how i cured it-- i didn't drive the car for 3 months (hard winter this year) and let a thick layer of rust form on the rotors. once i burned that off, no more squeal...for now. if it comes back i am going out and getting the cheapest, softest pads i can get my hands on and i will replace them twice a season if i have to. i have actually gotten pretty good at dismanteling and re-assembling the brake pads and rotors on the Celi. i wasn't being cheap about this, just hard-headed. i could have shelled out at anytime to replace them, however, i am about as hard-headed as you can get.
now for the advice: check your warranty if you buy lifetime pads. find out who will replace the product and who will pay for the labour. break them in gently. if you glaze the pads first time out you are screwed. if you are not satisfied with them, complain complain complain. -------------------- ![]() |
