How much compression can our 5sfe cyl-head handle as far as pistons and decking are concerned? I can't decide on 9:1, 10:1 or higher?

No turbo at for me...so what would you choose for an option then for comp. ratio? I would like to deck the head like you mentioned (not too much though)... thanks guys! |

That combination will make a big improvement in power too, especially if you do the cam upgrade and all the other little things you've been talking about. Do it - build an N/A monster man its been done. research the name "jim snoodgrass" he made ~147whp, with engine management and all, shaved head, valve job, and one cam (exhaust IIRC) i would expect ~5-10whp more with the newer electronics, and newer motor.
