Hello. Welcome to the site. You may be from New Zealand, but I am certain there are at least a few guys on this site that are from your country, and can help you out. Other than that, this site has been around for 5+ years, so if you search the forums, you are bound to find an answer!

Welcome to the site. Could you explain why the car isn't in running condition? You made an awesome decision with joining the forum because we will grow to become your second family, and of course help you with car issues.

I never thought that have a the timing cover opened a little could affect the way the car performed. Isn't the timing cover there to cover the timing belt? Why would the car smoke from that? How long have you had the car for? Is the head gasket okay?

You have a really nice car, don't really understand what "stigma" means on the side of your car but i definitely like your rims, you just need to get a suspension upgrade and lower your car and it will look sooo badass!

Haha, aw you're sweet to say that, but car's enduring a lot of work at the moment and all my parts are laying around in my storage room. The car will be almost finished by the summertime though with the GT4 front conversion all done and painted to a gunmetal color. If you ever want to get rid of your sideskirts, please let me know, i'd be EXTREMELY interested!

If you have something leaking from your timing cover, and your car is smoking a bunch, it's probably your water pump that's failing. Does it smell like coolant (antifreeze)?

Don't drive it like that or you'll blow a head gasket. Bad times.

Welcome though! I'm sure someone with way more knowledge can help better than I can... you're in the right place to start out learning about cars though! I myself started with the Idiot's Guide to Car Maintenance, and that was ten years ago. Ya just go from there...It was a great way to learn the very basic stuff. I highly recommend it!

Nice looking car... good luck getting it fixed. Call me a lazy person, but I'd just take it by the mechanic and make him fix it... (but since I can never afford that solution... it doesn't always work that well.)

hello and welcome. hope to get updates on your modifications. post lots of pictures, especially when it's winter here !!! GriffGirl is right, if you aren't absolutely sure what the leak and smoke are, don't drive it!

on a less serious note ... Do you know Jemaine and Bret??? j/k.
