is it illegal to shave off teh third brake light? ive thought about it, and just now i wondered if i did it, would it be against the law.

yes, as of 1985 it became mandatory that any car + has one IIRC

I actually took shaved mine before i knew about the law. i have never had any problems though. what city are you in?

If you don't like the red 3rd brake, you could always fit one of my clear ones

the third brake light on cars in front of me have saved me so many times. their tails and brake lights are hardly different (on some cars), and seeing that third light helped out so much. you don't have to be staring at the car to notice that the brakes are on, just look for that light.
