is a top mount feasible on a 5sfte? would i be able to get a 3s intake manifold or do a crazy bend for the 5s manifold? i plan on turbo'ing the car next summer (or once the 36k warranty is up) and i wanted to stray away from the ever so common front mount.
and no i'd rather not just get a 3s. my motor has around 7k miles on it so it would be perfect to boost -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

Nope, it wont work.
But there are other after market water to air coolers that you COULD use to fab something up. Look on ebay, they make a few different ones. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

if you don't want an FMIC then look into a SMIC (side mount) this will probably be a very good option to keep things hidden + short IC pipe length

i guess a side mount could be an option. i had thought about it a little, not that much air would hit it seeing as how there is no direct opening well atleast on my pre-facelift

if you have a PRE-facelift bumper you can always run a ~3" flexible duct from the center to the SMIC (though its more work)
I'd just upgrade to the 96+ bumper its sexier anyways |

Get a front mount. Paint it black.
Id rather be totally unoriginal, then heatsoaked from a tiny, inefficient, side mount. Function > Brownie Points -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

QUOTE i just didnt want to conform to society and get a fmic haha Your already dodging societies attempts of enculturation by driving a Celica. The American muscle subculture wont acknowledge you, the Euro-Träger subculture will largely look down on you, and most of the Japanese import subculture will simply be confused on why your modifying a Celica rather then a Supra, MR2 or older Corolla. The only culturally accepted aspect of the Celica is that a majority of females tend to think the Celica is "cute" (though not as cute as a mini or Beetle). With all that said, follow Lago's advice: Form Follows Function. -------------------- Scott
